Define GEN 2 Halo

No seriously, define it.

If you want some backdrop, no, I’m not a nostalgic player who wants a halo 3.5
Just a curious person about this GEN 2 stuff I’ve been hearing

halo 4 and beyond because they (halo 4 atleast) have a different gameplay mechanic (class-based MM, not arena)

Halo taking customization steroid pills. Not exactly a bad thing, but these steroids have bad aftereffects on nostalgic conservatives xD.

How does this make halo Gen 2?
It’s still halo, everything that made Halo, well, Halo, is still there
Except the fact you don’t spawn “equally” (which you technically do, see weapon balance)
and “Map Control” Which I can still see being very prevalent in this new game. Is a couple of perks going to make this Class based? Look at TF2, then at Halo. There is a huge difference, the fundamentals of halo are clearly there.

I don’t believe the “Start Equally going away” deal is a problem. Sure, we all start the same, but how often do you make a mad dash to dump that AR for a BR? Or to a nearby power weapon your team spawns close-by?

All we’re doing is eliminating BR/DMR/AR starts by allowing us to pick whichever we’re good with on that map. IMO, I’m glad. I believed that BR/DMR/AR starts just clutter the Slayer playlists.
