Defiant Map Pack for 400 points.

For those of you who are Xbox Live Reward members, Live rewards is giving the option to give you back 400 points for buying the map pack. An excellent option for those of you who, like me, were planning on waiting for it to go down in price.

What?

US resident only =(

> US resident only =(

:frowning:

I’m really hoping the Xbox LIVE Rewards program expands internationally sometime soon.

OR you just got screwed like me. How many days after release? march 29th to april 1st I got screwed over because I bought it day one?

Man dlc is messed up now. I knew the map packs might go down after many months for a week sale or something and I would be happy to had the maps from day one but this BS half off not even a week later?

Wow do I feel like a total -Yoink- not getting any of the free codes then paying 800mp $10 and less than a week later its half off 400mp $5.

So all this is telling me that I’m the idiot for buying the dlc day one for a game that no one plays anymore. I had to know something was up giving out all those free codes. They must have known by the number of people still playing the game compared to the amount of people playing when the noble pack came out that sales were going to suck. So thats why they gave out so many free codes so people would be playing the game again more numbers more sales. Oh everyones playing the defiant map pack I better get on and buy it before they cut the price in half.

I know its a xbox live rewards thing but everyone knows xbox live rewards are screwed if you had a live account before you signed up all the first time stuff you won’t get any rewards for it even though it says you will.

Where’s the love for the people who still play halo reach and bought the defiant pack day one for full price? April 1st god give me a frickin break. They should push the start date back to the release.

What a kick in the face a ceo crapping on my face because I bought it day one and wasn’t given it freely

Haha you’re such and idiot buying it day one. God I really need to not buy games wait for crazy price drops and never buy a dlc untill it shows up as a deal of the week.

Thanks for -Yoinking!- me I’ll be there same time same place because I need my crack and I always have to pay or watered down -Yoink- and then I have to buy more watered down crack again and again just shoving it down my throat.

> I’m really hoping the Xbox LIVE Rewards program expands internationally sometime soon.

Don’t its a piece of crap and it just tells you you’ll get points but never delivers its quite dirty.

You won’t get any points for anything they offer unless you creat a brand new xbox live account and don’t buy anything untill you sign up. Otherwise you are screwed

What I don’t get is why this wasn’t the Noble Map pack as a reward. That’s been out for months and you would expect a sale. But by making it the Defiant map pack, it does raise questions for anyone who bought it when it came out. I did not buy it then, and will take advantage of the sale, but I understand being angry if you did buy it on Day One.

In general, it pays to wait on Xbox Live content. Yes, Lair of the Shadow Broker was awesome, but in December, MS put it on sale for 200 points (down from 800) and it had only been out for three months. That’s quite a drop in price.
similarly, Pac-man CE DX went on sale on a few months after it came out, ditto World of Keflings. If you wait, eventually you get a price break, and a good one at that. But it still feels crappy if you paid the full freight.

I’ve gotten points from Live rewards with my account I’ve had since before '05 just fine. Not sure why you aren’t getting any.

Yes, things will be available at a cheaper price at a later date. It’s just a matter of how much it’s worth it to you to wait. Do you get that latest DLC for your favorite game, or wait an unknown amount of time for it to be available at an unknown cheaper price (most likely available at that price for only one week)? For me, it’s worth it to wait for the Reach DLC to go on sale. I was surprised by how quick an offer came up for Defiant (and I do feel sorry for those of you who did buy it right away. That is pretty crappy.), and now I wait for an offer on Noble.

Well its just a message from microsoft bungie and 343i and the message was get yoinked!

Good god and the live rewards that don’t give you points if your gt isn’t brand new are the ones like first marketplace purchase xbox live renewal

It could be worse - you could be playing Call of Duty (BO &MW2) - and then you’d really get gouged on price. 1200msp for maps that aren’t even anywhere nears as good as the gears 2 or Halo map packs, anyone?

Everyone, this is a good point. The other option is bad, overpriced maps that never change price at all.

I think gears 2 maps suck like all of them. I’m not too hot on cod online but I enjoy the games, however the cod maps are cheaper than the halo maps by price per map anways. Also the quality of maps on mw2 and bo are better than reach maps and I hate cod and shoot up halo in my veins.

Halo maps have sucked since halo 2 not counting remakes thats cheating. Terminal easily one of the best if not the best halo map ever then end of halo 2 dlc and the dank maps. I would look up in the sky as a little boy and think damn these buildings and map are so sick, THIS is what halo 3 is going to be like, start from be better than?

But I lied to myself for years halo multiplayer died when halo 3 came out and camaign died when reach came out now I die every time I have to shoot up this stomped on -Yoink- sheez, in my veins

Ha I don’t even play for fun anymore just get on check the challenges and get off no fun

When is the noble pack being discounted so I can whine about that? no not really I enjoy anchor 9 and breakpoint is the best invasion map but the other crummy lame island pyramid is just the suck

Someone seems hurt…
Really hurt…

I don’t like that price drop, specially coming from the rewards program [I got it for free]. The noble map pack should have been price dropped if anything.

I made a boat yesturday, it’s pretty cool. It was fun making it.

Sure, gears 2 may not be your game, but for people who play gears…800msp for what? 14 or so maps (i.e all their map packs combined) is tremendous value - and it’s certainly something you don’t get with the COD series.

While I wouldn’t call it a tremendous value, World at War did have the Map Pack Bundle of all three packs together for 400 less points than all three by themselves. (and they all went half-off twice so far) So while IW’s CODs haven’t done that, TA did for at least one of theirs. Who knows, they might do something similar for BO after the rest of the map packs come out.

Sure, but how far into its life was that, and when was Modern Warfare due out? And I’m sceptical of Treyarch being given any pricing control over maps - Activision seems to enjoy gouging people too much.

I find it a little annoying that US residents get all of these programs, like ‘Netflix’ and ‘Xbox Live Rewards’. Australia has a very large amount of users who play on Xbox Live daily yet we hardly get anything.

Enjoy using your Rewards =(

the rewards system is up you can’t get any rewards for your first purchase on marketplace, renewing your sub, or activating netflix if you have already done that 5-6 years ago the FIRST time even though xbox live rewards weren’t even around back then.

Xbox live rewards screws over the people who actually buy stuff when it comes out the people who actually deserve the rewards.

Xbox live rewards only the pople who haven’t bought their stuff yet its pretty dirty.
