Can the new Defiant achievements be done in custom games like Candy from a Baby could, or did 343 fix up the glitch?
Unfortunately, they have to be done in matchmaking on the Defiant maps.

Not this time. They’ve actually gone in the other direction with some of the achievements. Not only are they gametype specific (1 Flag CTF) but they’re ALSO map pack specific. So for “Don’t Touch This,” you’ll need to play Team Objective until a 1 Flag CTF on Condemned or Highlands comes up. And then hope people vote for it. And then hope that no one touches your flag for both rounds that you’re on defense.

Don’t stress too much about them. AFAIK the Candy from a Baby and such can still be done in customs. It’s the new Defiant achievements that came with the Anniversary maps that are tough.

Wait, there are new achievements in the anniversary that has to be done on the Defiant maps? That makes no sense…
Yup.
And like I said before, these ones are doozies because some aren’t just map specific, they’re map AND game specific which is a huge PITA.
It’s always great to help achievement hunting. (snicker has been a good example).

Ahahahahaha! Oh man. I would totally volunteer an achievement hunting night but I need a break. I’ve helped so many people recently and it totally makes me want to rage when people don’t listen.

I know the feeling. I would make a play-date solely based for achievement hunting, but my university kicks back starting tomorrow so my free time can only be after class, work and other appointments. =P
