I think there needs to be a mechanic put in place for players who sit next to vehicle spawn area. Do you agree?

What Kind of mechanic do you mean? I mean I usually walk over to the vehicle bay and kill whoever is there before spawning something or spawn them at the home base…What exactly are you suggesting?

Hmm good point. Sometimes i blindly spawn them when I’m dead, but i guess i should check bay first. My bad.
I try to spawn vehicles in my home base for this reason. If you’re not triple capped, it feels much safer as those shield doors are up. It’s also nice to know that virtually all of the enemies are “in front” of you. Sometimes when you spawn in the vehicle bays you don’t really know where the enemies are, so it’s easy to get boarded even if there isn’t someone waiting for you to pop out.
Still, some automated defense turrets would be nice . . . Ya know, just for ambiance . . .
>.<
There isint much you can do. You can try barriers but that would break the flow. So would turrets.

The problem is you can’t choose where you want to spawn your vehicles. If for example the map is Noctus and you have one garage, the game chooses to spawn you at garage over home base.
I wish they implemented vehicle spawn base choices.

If you spawn at the home base, then walk over to a req station you’ll spawn the vehicle there.
Also, on maps besides noctus/sanctum if you’re in the armory nearest the homebase you seem to spawn at the home base these days. I’m pretty this was added with one of the updates; though I never saw it in the patch notes.
ye i always spawn home base. the driving out animation takes so long you could get lasered twice before even having control of your vehicle.

Yeah, that has happened to me a few times.

I actually had a match on Arc the other day where my group of randoms had triple capped the enemy team; so I spawned a mantis to go after the bosses and there was a cat camping on top of the garage with a void’s tear. So he’s stuns me a few times and I hop out. He snagged the thing; then I hijacked the bloody thing. It was a bit funny.

I love being able to get out of your vehicle and kill the guy trying to board it and get right back in like nothing happened.
A couple second spawn invulnerablity maybe?
I just never use the garages except by accident.

What about a “force” wave that pushes…
ONLY players away <<
So if a vehicle just exits behind annother the force won’t affect other vehices.
But players get pushed away.
…
Or vehicles gain bonus speed and hijack immunity for 10 seconds?

And if I happen to running past when one of my teammates spawns a tank, I get pushed into the open? Even if you make it enemies only it seems pretty unnecessary and convoluted considering how easy it is to ‘clear the lane’ so to speak.
I think the best way to prevent this is to get rid of the noise a spawning vehicle makes. So often I’m trying to capture a base, then I hear a vehicle spawning in and because it’s so slow I can run outside and be ready for it.
Sitting there are waiting for vehicles isn’t a good strategy, a vehicle may never come, you would never really know.

I love it when I’m going to board a vehicle, say a mantis, and the pilot, seeing my attempt, proceeds to hop out of the vehicle. I then destroy the poor sap as he leaves his vehicle, say the mantis. Now I have a brand new Mantis, in the case of it being a mantis.
I’ve also done this to scorpions as well. I love free stuff.

Great idea, let’s encourage tank and ghost spam by having no way to initially counter it in the first place! /s.
All you need to do is clear the area out, or spawn your reqs at home base. There shouldn’t be a “safe zone” for vehicles in other bases when you already have one at home base.

“Hijack immunity and speed boosts”
Um… no thanks. I don’t want a scorpion turning into sonic the hedgehog for a short amount of time, or super sonic for that matter.

Maybe the speed decays after distance, and the immunity is based on enemy proximity.
So if I travel 30m , or exit the base my boost expires early.
And if there is no spartan within a short distance immunity expires faster.
