Defend objective in WZFF

Just wanted to make sure that in order to successfully defend a building (whether it is the garage or armory) in a WZFF round that everyone knows that you actually HAVE TO BE INSIDE said building to prevent the capture and subsequent loss from the enemy AI.

Too many times have I been with in a FF match that when that objective comes up everyone is outside taking pot shots in trying to kill the attackers, meanwhile, the circle capture icon keeps going around until it comes full circle and we all lose.

Just seems to be a common place where a lot of WZFF matches fail at and I am just not sure if everyone knows that in order to prevent base capture, people need to be inside the structure killing and defending.

Having a couple guys circling the outside in ghosts or warthogs is good strategy to reduce the number of incoming enemies but there has to be spartans inside stopping the capture progress.

Sorry, rant over.

I feel you.

I know, however when you have prometheans who spawn inside the -Yoinking!- thing with knights, getting in is a problem.

Defending the Garage on Escape from A.R.C is pretty difficult with enemies spawning in the base and then the Phaetons eventually spawning and turning on you once you even get a foot out of the tunnel. It’s possible, but just points to how WZFF can go from genuine challenge to -Yoink- challenge real fast.

It’s weird, because I’ve done that round and though we killed tons of them inside and out, we all just about died while there were still plenty inside. There were so many inside we couldn’t even step foot inside, but it gave us the win as it counted down lol

Yeah, its more attack/clear out the building that is already full of over a dozen enemies, while more enemies spontaneously spawn directly behind you, lol
Try getting defend against Prometheans as the first round on urban, its essentially impossible.

Is that the “Defend the Promethean Core” round on Urban? That one is usually always a fail.

Defending a Base from the Covenant is fun and challenging. You see them drop, and they have to push their way inside. Even on ARC when it’s the first round, they’re mainly Elites where you can use their storm Rifles against them. The Fortress is a big enough place where you aren’t cramped by enemies.

Prometheans? Pssh, they’ll just teleport in and instant smack you. Knights charge in by the dozens and use either Scattershots or Incineration Cannons, where you shouldn’t be in closed areas when fighting those to begin with.

Oh, and there’s Phaetons too. In the beta you were able to steal one and use it to destroy everyone else, making the holes in the Garage useful from above. Now it’s just -Yoink!- you, deal with it on foot.

Tell that to the Knights that spawn inside the little armory withe their blades and their scattershots/cannons. It’s just not easy to fight with those sons of a didact when you only have level 2 reqs, but yeah, the point is be inside the objective, buying all the time yo can.
