I am currently trying to install halo 5 on my Xbox one after a need for a console reset but it keeps saying installation stopped and then it says there’s something wrong with
my disk when i have taken great care with it and maintained it ever since i got it. Sometimes after an extensive session the disk would come out hot but that’s it could someone please explain why
That might be an xbox problem more than the disk because you could easily see if there is a scratch or something on it that can could make it harder to read
If there is no physical scratch or deformation to the disk, I dont think its a disk problem. It might possibly be a console problem, are your vents covered in anyway? Could be an issue with the optical drive.
Is inner part cracked even a small one ? H3 collectors edition caused small cracks making disc unreadable and alot of us had to spend 3 weeks exchanging our disc = 3 days into launch and I had to wait almost a month to play
Yikes glad im Digital now game files are to big now to worry about discs and scratches 
that sucks. ou cant play the epicness.
I’ve got a good games trader near me i’ll take it there and swap it with a new one and it was working fine about a week ago
I feel like its more likely the reset. Sounds like the disk worked for you before. What variable changed between then and now? The xbox.
If it was defective it likely would have been bad out of the box.

why would the Xbox change it’s the same thing even if it’s been reset some of my vents are covered do you think that might be it will I have to get a new xbox
Do you have any other discs you can test your Xbox with? Try running and install / reinstall of any of those games and see if it gives you similar issues. Can also try loading up a DVD / BluRay and see if it plays. If everything works out Ok then it’s likely a fault that the disc has developed. If any other games fail to install, I would get in contact with Xbox Live Support for further help
I am having the same problem but I see a little scratch on my disc.
It was working fine playing it but I uninstalled it.
I am now trying to get it to work but it keeps stopping!
