Honestly, why don’t we have a choice between using the Battle Rifle, the pistol, and the DMR. I find when I play with the BR, I’m way more accurate with my shots and when I use the pistol, I can’t hit someone whose standing still. If the guns have the same kill time, then why not give a choice between what we use. Also, the pistol has very little aim assist for how accurate it shots have to be, and I feel that I don’t have the capability to continuously press the trigger at that rate while trying to hit all my shots. My finger gets sore after 1 match with the pistol but when I use the BR, it’s a little more settling to use. The DMR on the other hand is another version of the pistol that can shoot farther, and just as quick. Look at Halo 4, when you gave us the choice between what weapons we wanted to use, that was one great move, it gave us players a feeling that you were not holding a tight leash around our necks, that you were letting us roam free without ordering us to do what you want. If you like fairness in the community, why not give choice between what we find easier on our selves and what we prefer, it shows how much you care for this community you built.
It keeps the playing field level and gives incentive to utiliZe the entire map rather than a team setting up with BR’s and the other team unable to break a setup.
The aim assist for the BR is greater than that of the pistol hence why you find it easier to use. The pistol is a great weapon because it reveals the skill gap between players. It is quite powerful in the hands of the right person and hard to use well. Just keep on practicing mate, you’ll get there
