Default Thrust or Loadout Kits

I believe thrust as a default starter kit would increase Infinite’s fun factor. Unlimited thrust with the option to swap for those other power ups like grapple.

In H5 the thrust made gunfights much more unpredictable. Plus, allowed players to survive in more situations. I find it hard to believe that this is still not in playlists.

On another note will player loadouts be an option with forge coming out? Infinite seems destined to mimic Reach in the ability to create unique loadouts for each individual player.

Well hopefully there’s a way that allows you to do this in your own custom games/matchmaking in the future.

I can’t, find it that hard to believe when you look at the backlash to the implementation of advanced movement as a core feature. I mean hell, there are still complaints about sliding, clambering, and sprinting in Infinite.

You can prefer the style of gameplay, and once again I hope that there will be a way to emulate that style of gameplay in game. But as a default, I’m gonna pass. I prefer my Halo a little less split second and a bit more methodical.

Destined? I sure as hell hope not.

Adding optional playlists, features and mechanics that allow you to have loadouts? Sure, but it better not touch the default base game experience.

I really enjoyed thrusters.

But they were a bit OP in H5. Especially sprint into jump into thrust. It was a bit much.

If they were just lateral movement. Toned down a smidge. And had a slightly longer recharge time… Maybe they could have stayed.

You’ll be happy to know that something called “Turbo Slayer” is floating around somewhere in the void which is supposed to have increased player movespeed, jump height and Thrusters on spawn.

Thank you for your sentiments. I agree, classic Halo is the ultimate way to play. But modern day shooters add elements that require adaptations. From what I played and heard, thrust was the definitive advantage.

Grenade thrown at you? Thrust to safety. In an even gunfight? Unpredictably thrust away.

Do you want stale one v one gunfights? This already exsists in several shooters. Or rather a player decisive moment to decide the victor?

Also, I agree sprint is redundant. Spartans should be always sprinting. Adding an animation only makes me dislike the game more. This is not IRL and should hardly mimic it. Hence why I play.

The spartan abilities are the main thing I hate about Halo 5.

While I accepted thrust in Halo 5, I have to admit, Halo plays much better without it being default, and in my opinion it should stay this way.
