I signed onto Reach just now and noticed that it says I have never played before. It made me choose male or female then gave me a 5000 credit bonus. I then noticed all my armor had been changed to default but everything was still unlocked and I had all my credits, achievements, everything…Is this a glitch? I have never cheated nor exploited anything and the website is working fine.
Is this the first time you went online? If it is, you had to forfeit armor, cRs, etc. so you can play online. And also, you will drop to the rank you started with.

I had that problem in the past. Its just a glitch. Happens also when the Halo servers go down. No need to worry.
If this is your first time going online, this is to be expected. You can only take a limited number of credits online.
If you have been online before, then this is most probably a glitch. You can wait and try again later. You can also try and re-download your profile. Also try playing a game or two or change your armor, as this may force your local profile to sync with the data on the servers.
You have not been reset. This practice was completely discontinued after 343i took over from Bungie. What you are experiencing is some kind of glitch or other technical problem.
Which means there is a technical solution.

Thanks for the replies. I have been playing on the same GT for 8 years and have played online in all halos, a lot. I changed all my armor back and my emblem and all is well. I was just worried for a minute there.
