I was thinking, there’s a YouTuber that cought several peoples eye, DeeBee, who was introduced to Halo and Xbox only 5 months ago, he fell in love with Halo, and has the support of our favorite composer, Marty o donnel, and I was thinking, after this PlayStation guy played Xbox, and his viewers believe this man will end the console wars, I would like to have him as a marine. A marine that’s based off him, almost like, hey, thank you for playing the franchise and getting people hyped and drawn into the games. What do you all think?
The only way any e-celeb is getting put into a game is if they reach the heights of the skyrim grandma. This guy is still a nobody to 99.99% of the market and just reacts to trailers and stuff.
He streamed himself playing Reach, CE, 2,3, 4, 5, and did other stuff, he’s actually kinda known to more than just 1 percent, and besides, by halo 4 and 5 there were several RvB Easter eggs, and some from less notable things, 343 likes adding things like these, I honestly believe they will at least think about it, considering a few 343 workers have messaged him or mentioned him in posts or in his live streams.
he got me hyped and made me return to halo watching him play was amazing
He’s a relatively charismatic and palatable YouTuber, sure, but I don’t think 343i has the inclination - or, at this point, frankly even the time - to be making stuff like this happen. Even if they did, I feel like it would run as much of a risk of offending and alienating the “old guard,” HaloTubers (HiddenXperia, LateNight, Act Man, etc) as anything else. Although he’s made some pretty notable Halo and Gears content at this point, he’s one of the newest names in the space.
I think DeeBee is charming and has been a good ambassador for the Xbox brand in the past several months, but part of the reason he’s been so wholesome is that he’s devoid of any severe brand bias for or against the brand, so his opinions and reactions come across as genuine and reliable-- cramming him into an Xbox first party game is sure to mess with that proverbial Kool-Aid. I hope he keeps preaching the good word of great games on every platform, but I don’t see something like this making an abundance of sense for MS and 343i.
I would much rather them throw in a long-time Halo YouTuber like MythicTyrant or HiddenXperia. Even the newer ones like Act Man would be a better choice IMO. Anyone except HaloFollower pretty much lol.
I think like a lot of people, I basically discovered his content from his Playstation guy plays Halo bits and he has quickly become one of my favourite YouTubers. I think his genuine reactions provide key insight into how new players actually perceive Halo. I believe a lot of people on his Twitch stream when he was done with ODST/Halo 3 were telling him not to do Halo 4 (like why, he’s playing on MCC so it’s not like he has to go out and buy it, let him form his own opinion).
He loved itI don’t deny Halo 4 had problems and it’s not the greatest of Halo games for sure. However, I feel sometimes people within the Halo community can (unwittingly) make some of the newer games sound so bad that they sound as poorly made games. Imo I think the newer Halo games are decent video games (good Halo games is another matter of debate though I think they’re decent ish as well though like I said with their share of problems).

He is a good ambassador for gaming (as stated above later^).
Another YouTuber I found (though not for Halo) was NeoGameSpark whose ‘I got an Xbox Series X’ vid got recommended to me by the algorithm. He also is becoming another frequently watched YouTuber for me (I think he isn’t like DeeBee though as he had a 360). He covers gaming in general and he basically says it as is without ‘fanboyism’ for lack of a better word and gives credit where it is rightfully due (to both consoles).
It’s a pleasant change for sure and certainly more people could benefit from this mindset tho I’m sure only a handful of fanboys at this point are keeping the ‘console war’ alive (even Microsoft and Sony have more or less forgotten at this point). Sure, we all did it school years ago when we had nothing better to do but at this point, I just want to play games. Have your preference but you don’t need to degrade the other side either. Just game on. I like me some Halo but I also like me some Ratchet and Clank (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that).
