I don’t like any fiesta varients other than Husky Raid. Besides that, the typical Super Fiesta and HR matches play fundamentally different. So combining them together just doesn’t make any sense, not only that, it creates a quitting problem in matches because people aren’t satisfied with the match they were thrown into. Personally, it makes me want to play less. Besides HR, I only play ranked Slayer (FFA not team), so most of the time I log on, it’s to play HR because it’s fast, fun, and simple. I’m a full-time student and I work 50+ hours a week, so I don’t have much time to play. I’d rather not spend what little time I do have, bearing with matches that I don’t get any enjoyment from just to hopefully get one that I do enjoy.
Of course, a lot of the matchmaking complaints that exist in H5 and in MCC could be mitigated by implementing a veto system like in classic H3, but I digress.
I’m sure I’m not alone in this, as I’ve seen other such outcry about the removal of this beloved playlist. Please 343, I love H5, it’s been my favorite since H3 but it’s hard to justify putting time into when Im not garanteed to enjoy my time playing it.
Other than that, thanks for all your hard work on the game and the MCC, I and many others are grateful. I’m looking forward to finally getting a full H5 experience on PC lol.
I definitely preferred having Husky Raid as its own playlist. I don’t mind regular Super Fiesta, but when they were separate playlists I chose to do HR most of the time. Objective gametypes are just more interesting to me.

I’m right there with you! It gives something to work for and provides structure, alongside the linear map design, to an otherwise entirely chaotic game mode.
I would also say that, for me, the consistency of types of matches is a huge deal as welll. Since it can be quite jarring when going from team Slayer super fiesta on a large arena style map to the strict one-lane fast paced objective based HR.

Hey, for future note: Please don’t post multiple time in a row. If you need to add more information or quote other users, you can edit your last post. Thanks
So they brought back anniversary throwback… Is anyone even listening to us? Alot of my buddies quit and are playing other games, my friends are telling me to quit, I really was holding out for a change. A response would be nice.

You’d probably get a response quicker if you poked them on Twitter or something; they only pop into the forums every now and then.
The reason why they made Husky Raid not a separate playlist is because Super Fiesta was losing its popularity. Fiesta was an older and more original mode, so I’m guessing 343 did not want to leave that behind so they combined the too for a better reason to keep it around. Although I do not like the idea of combining the two, just since that Husky Raid was my 2nd favorite mode besides Grifball (which got taken out), I feel like this is their new way of setting up playlists. It’s not very enjoyable, but it is pretty reasonable.
HR was a great mode for the end of the day/week. Slay and cap without getting sweaty. You said you removed HR because there were too many playlists? Surely HR wasn’t the least played game type. Maybe cut back on war zone? Or infection? Just saying, we’re coming up quick on H6 release and it would be awesome to be able to play HR until then.
I love the fast paced, frenetic game play of Husky Raid. I dont like playing 5 games of Super Fiesta just to get 1 game of Husky Raid. I like playing SF when I am in the mood for that, but Husky Raid is where it’s at!
The ban hammer for backing out is pretty harsh. I tend to stick it out, but a good friend caught a 3 hour ban after backing out of a game he wasn’t interested in playing, again, for the 5th time in a row.
Yeah I agree it needs it’s own playlist. I love Husky Raid, but I also love Super Fiesta and I want to be able to play the one I choose, instead of a mix and match.
My two buddies and I have been grinding Husky Raid every weekend since it got it’s own playlist last summer. The fast pace, cooperative, and just plain fun gamestyle of HR has us hooked. We all look forward to the time we set aside every weekend to play together. We recognize other gamers on the playlist that we’ve been playing with/against for months, and vice versa. I may be sappy, but it felt like a little community. Sadly, all of that kinda fell apart when HR was combined with Super Fiesta. We’re not playing as much and I don’t see the same gamertags in the feed anymore when I do. I have nothing against SF, it’s a great game mode in it’s own right, but this doesn’t seem like the combination that needed to happen. As the OP noted, switching from a fast paced HR game to a slow, methodical SF game is jarring. Maybe some people think SF is fast paced, but compared to HR it feels like like I’m pedaling through hummus.
They say all good things must come to an end, but I was hoping this wasn’t one of them. At least until Halo Infinite came out. Husky Raid is my favorite game mode that I’ve ever played, not just in Halo. Every game is different. You can get crushed in a minute in one game, to steam rolling the enemy in the next. I’m not gonna say that I’m done playing Halo until this is back. That’s a petty ultimatum and it’s not true. I’m gonna keep playing, but it won’t be as fun as it would be with a dedicated Husky playlist. 343, you’ve done a great job with this game. It’s consistent, it’s fun, and the content you release keeps us engaged while we wait for Infinite. I’m sure the player base is dwindling so you gotta cut the total number of playlists so there are enough players in each game - I understand your reasons. But as you noted in your playlist description, Husky Raid is a “fan-favorite mode”…so maybe it wasn’t the right playlist to go?

As a member of the above referenced Fireteam, I totally agree with GareTheChair.
The perfect part about Husky Raid is A.) How simple the objective is and B.) How fireteam-oriented it is. SF is also a good time, just not as important to coordinate with teammates. Doesn’t feel right to mix the two game modes into one playlist, especially since it dissolved the HR community thats been faithful to that game mode since it came out last summer.
On another note… I applaud 343 for how player oriented Halo 5 has been overall. Five years going strong and we still have updated playlists, game mode tweaks, and general maintenance that other newer games lack. There’s a reason why the Halo community remains tight-knit.
