Holy worst game type ever.
It’s a shame - the gametype is always voted for by players of questionable skill level who run around with either invis and Needler or Armor Lock and try sticking.
I guess they have fun but they don’t improve as players. I enjoy it as I tend to use the Needle Rifle to full effect - 25 and 4 in my last game of Elite Slayer on Pinnacle.
Yep. As little of a skill gap as there is in default Reach as it is, there is significantly less of one in elite slayer.
It’s the epitome of stupidity.
I love Elite Slayer! Needle Rifle + Evade is just…awesome.
I was gonna say, I dont really like playing it but I dont mind it because I go 25/6 when I play it. Kids just try to stick me and let me NR them.
Elite Slayer is good because it’s more balanced then default slayer. People only hate because it doesn’t have the DMR or Magnum, and it doesn’t have human power weapons as pick-up, only Covenant power weapons. A lot of people don’t like the Plasma Launcher because the Rocket Launcher gets results faster.
More balanced?!

Elite Slayer is fun. It should have its own playlist. 
Yes. I wish it had it’s own playlist so I would never have to play it again. I would be able to tolerate it if it was Evade and Needle Rifle starts only.

Yeah! OR Have a Elite only playlist for all gametypes (is it possible to have Elite CTF?).
I always quit if elite slayer gets voted. I don’t want to ever play as a dino.
Elites should have had their own playlist from the start. When I go into team slayer I want 4v4 Dmr gameplay. Instead I get warrent officers throwing stickies at me everytime they spawn.

Kind of like the Anniversary playlist but an Invasion playlist.
Which includes:
- Invasion- Invasion Slayer/Skirmish- Elite Slayer/Objective- Elite BTB Slayer/Objective- Elite FFAAlso Noble DLC required, so we get Breakpoint in Invasion

I’m definitely in favour of elite slayer playlist…its fun, its crazy, its not serious; its good to let of steam and needle everyone!

Talk about hitting the nail on the head. I find normal slayer so boring, the dmr is the most over used weapon in the game. Also, a players rank is no indication of their skill. Ranking up through matchmaking is much slower than through firefight.
While elites tend to move slower, and getting stuck might be irritating (for you), it is still a break from the standard dmr/AR spam fest. Lets not forget those frag grenades getting tossed by the dozen into every room, or up every lift.
Possible reasons why these people hate Elite Slayer:
Plasma Grenades, Plasma Repeaters, no boring human weapons, no instant kill rocket launcher or sniper rifle. Elite assassinations are also more entertaining than human ones. You never hear spartans laugh as they perform the assassination. Also maybe because you can’t see your precious armor as an elite so you can’t show off your MC outfit, or expensive shoulder pads.
