Has the skill of gamers declined lately? Because I see a lot of people(especially in halo 5) where they don’t play the game types correctly. Instead of capturing flags teammates go for kills or are just so awful they can’t begin to compete and bring the team down. Same in the gametype strongholds. Instead of playing the objective most people go for kills. It’s really annoying to see people that are so bad or don’t play for the team. They also forget that there is a radar and don’t seem to pay attention to the surroundings and never assist teammates in kills or saving them. They wait for a teammate to die then kill or jump into the fight. Anyone else notice this lately?
No, you’re just too good. Or an elitist.
Or they are stat padding. Why bother capping when others can, not to mention you got an objective, the enemy will come if they want to win.
Maybe…
If you are talking about BTB then maybe ill close one eye since there are usually newbies who play in that game mode and usually dont know what they are doing
I understand your pain, if people don’t want to play obj, they should just stick to slayer
it’s been like this since… well always. some people just don’t understand how the game works, either it be the gametype or map. they also might be 5 and only know how to kill.
no matter the game or time this is something has and will happen. it happens more so at the start and end of the month becuase all the little wanna be try hards want to rank in all the playlists.

Only for the last 15 years.
To me, a simple fix would be to remove “kd” from the scores, so after game or during game you can’t see your kills to deaths, but rather the actual objective scoring (caps etc) then there really would be no point using CTF to get kills.

These Stat padded will rush the objective only if they think you are about to score so they can be on the top of the leaderboards. Otherwise if you grab the objective they will abandon you. Contrast old school halo play with new school COD selfish style - in COD and newer halos, grabbing the enemy flag singles you out and teammates leave your area like you have -Yoink!- and then wait for the flag to return so they can pull and cap solo (almost never works). These can leave the enemy spawning between you and your own bade for an easy kill and return.
Tired of it no one is backup ever they all go for kills, in warzone people are ignoring boss kills. I’m no Super Elitist Spartan by any means but come on peeps
also tons of the under 9 crowd lately singing nursery rhyme’s etc

I always make sure to try and kill bosses but kills are important too.
You can sort of blame COD for this since they brought in ELITE and public view of k/d and stats back between MW2 and 3. Other games may have started it sooner but memory escapes me. As soon as people became aware that their numbers were public knowledge, it turned the entire thing into an online e-peen measuring contest where K/d is the only stat that matters, even in objective game modes. It’s one of the reasons I eventually stopped playing most multiplayer pvp games and switched to Battlefield 3 for a bit. That game at least had a large objective focus that was fairly enjoyable for a time. I’ve seen people/youtubers bragging about their k/d while their team is getting completely smashed in an objective game. It is just the nature of the beast right now and part of the reason objective modes in most PVP games have become downright unenjoyable.
Sometimes but not always. BTW nice gamertag
almost every team i get is like this OP i think it has something to do with peoples supremely unhealthy obsession with their k/d
If you have played me and I sucked, its because I’m getting about 0.5 mbps internet. Don’t hate on me.
I am going to have to say … I have never played a halo where my team of Randoms actually know how to play objective games 100% of the time.
