Does anyone know what kind of maps we will be getting in Dec upadate? Arena, Warzone, BTB?
I know forge is comming, but I just hope that 343 will send us some nice, non forge maps to play with.
We’re getting Ducain’s remake of Burial Mounds in Forge for BTB but that’s all I know for maps.
I hope they have that remix of the rig ready with the lava steam and the city warzone map, arena and wz need new maps now…not later. I know I won’t be using forge much, creating maps is too time consuming for me and i’ve just never been into forge. But they are gonna have me grinding the same warzone maps and arena maps over and over to get the new reqs?
And I swear to god, if we get any more warthogs, gungooses or mongooses in this new update I will lose my mind!

Well…it’s something, plus the concept art looked pretty awesome. It probably wouldn’t play too different from the current arena maps but a fresh visual/different map look would be nice.

Oh god. Off all the BTB maps to remake, they chose that… That abomination. You know what? This may actually become the greastest map in all of Halo 5. I mean, combining Halo 5’s poor spawn mechanics with those of the original Burial Mounds (what an appropriate name) might just cancel each other out and create a miracle. Or, it could cause me to lose my faith in humanity.

Its probably not an exact remake, after all…Recurve doesn’t remind me much of longbow at all. Out of all the forged BTB maps guillotine is the only one that looks almost exactly like the original in a sense. Basin doesn’t remind me of valhalla much either, aside from two bases on each end of a narrow map the two don’t have all that much in common in how they play. But as for the burial mounds remake, we haven’t really seen any decent footage or images of it so i’m not gonna give it any more thought than this right now.

Are you joking? Burial Mounds is the worst map in Halo 2. Why remake that.
I mean I can’t figure out why they are obsessed w/ Headlong, a map thats basically unplayable in all gametypes. Or why they wanted Relic remade, a map that again doesn’t work with any gametype and isn’t fun. But Burial Mounds stands out as one of the worst maps.
STOP the btb forge maps. Get some real maps in there. These forge maps are just plain ugly, I would be fine if they were mixed in with some real maps. Btb really got the crap end of the stick.

Of course a new map would be better but I personally like the truth remix as it feels different enough to me. A whole new map design would probably take longer and I hope they are working on some but I wasn’t expecting complete new maps in two months.

In order to create new Reqs this often a lot of them are bound to be simple re-skins. I would agree though that I hope they don’t re-skin the same items in back to back patches. As long as we get a few good items per group of Reqs I am happy (ie I love my shinobi and was so lucky getting it so fast).

I don’t mind more skins for stuff that doesn’t have many yet. But as it is 6 version of the mongoose is plenty. The risk is oversaturating the req system with bull -Yoink-. However a second legendary skin for shinobi would be fine, because that armor set only has one skin right now. If reskins of the same thing over and over again is their idea of free DLC for a year along with forge maps then this whole thing was the biggest load of BS i’ve ever seen. And from the looks of this upcoming update, we’re getting two mythic items and an armor set that will likely be hard to obtain. The gold/black skins will probably be very rare/legendary as well.
