Ranked is really the only good gametypes to play in this game but it is still full of terrible gametypes. I’m tired of dying of losing games in ranked because all my teammates are just trying to kill the enemy and not trying to play objectives.
Please give us a ranked slayer and a ranked swat. Please. Just give us something 343i… please.
They are currently adding more playlists that wont come on Dec 8 but sometime before the Holidays. Note though, they did not mention Ranked. I imagine that ranked now just means HCS modes or that is at least their current plan, which is disappointing to say the least.
I doubt it. Broken CSR formula, broken spawns, broken melee, broken hit reg., broken netcode.
If they didn’t change anything after the flights, they won’t be changing much here. There’s 1 day left. It’s gonna be bad.
Don’t expect it at all.
I don’t know who thought it was a good idea but pushing into e-sports this early was a mistake. Why?
The game suffers from the absence of critical mechanisms required for ranked play and for a competitive scene to be healthy.
Mechanisms such as:
When you add the combination of low ticks, server desync, and desync especially within the spectator mode, it’s simply embarrassing. And what’s even more embarrassing is how it was plain visible for all to see, if you’ve watched the HCS qualifiers at any point in the past two-three weeks.
A number of BO3 or BO5 matches suffered from crashes and d/c and some of those teams lost the BO3’s and BO5’s solely on losing one round due to one player crashing/disconnecting. And none of those rounds were reset by the HCS crew. The only way you could re-do that round is if the opponent offered it to you or if you demanded a re-do.
If there is no change there is 1 good thing that will come out of the release. 343i will no longer be able to hide behind the excuse “this is a beta,” and may actually have to answer for the lack of content in this game.
Sure the foundation is decent for gameplay but there are huge gaps to actually be a complete foundation. Melee is terribly broken, the quality and amount of maps is laughable, and these forced objective game modes that prove 343i has either failed to look at player data from past games or simply did not care about it. Oh and the amount, damage and use of grenades, this is just my opinion but ranked you should not spawn with grenades but instead find them on map.
