I know matchmaking is behind the scenes and a skill system is coming later but the normal rts modes in multiplayer clearly say UNRANKED now when you go to blitz it clearly says “Matchmaking ban rules are in effect”.
I have got a terrible feeling the matchmaking on skill is blitz only… the least competitive mode (subject to opinion) due to the paying element. The classic core rts mode does not even have that.
Why on earth were the leaderboards scrapped from beta 1?
I know you want to make money, I know you are force feeding blitz through achievements etc do you really have to make the core rts mode unranked?
I hope it is merely a typo and they intend to add ranking for MULTIPLAYER not just Blitz because I have little faith on the track record so far.
Bitterly disappointed. I dislike Blitz I like old school rts and if you are not going to add ranked to that why advertise the game as a rts game? For a rts game to succeed you need incentives to win, otherwise quitting will be rampant and the game will die off fast, take HW DE for example, stripping the core features means that game has less players than it did even though more folks have codes.
Please someone from 343 call me a moron and confirm ranking will be on all modes.

They already said it’s pre-season right now. They use that time to figure out any balancing issues.

Read post please I confirmed that what I am worried is pre season is blitz only I.e only blitz will get ranked the descriptions in game point that way.
I am sure they would add it to all modes just need clarification.

You’re absolutely right. Blitz is the dumbest idea in the history of all video games. If they don’t rank the actual game I won’t play. Already thinking about giving up the game because cloaking is WAYY overpowered and nothing can beat it. It makes you invincible.
I hate that it’s not ranked i wanted to play team deathmatch and just destroy other bases and rank up but I can’t even do that! They need to fix it.

It sounds silly to me to introduce ranking for Blitz-only, tho.
I can think of no reason why ranking the normal modes would mean additional costs…
That would be a pretty weird decision.
I am more worried by the name and the description of the playlist. At least the german ones are totally stupid and I and my friends dont really know what will be ranked what the rules are etc.
Also I would like that every mode (Stronghold, Deathmatch, Domination) would get a separat playlist. Some people sucks at Stronghold but are actually awesome in deathmatch… Really hope that will come soon.
