Deathmatch Feedback

I just want to make a list of my random observations so far.

  • Hero’s seem useless so far, especially the covenant hero. He can’t attack air, and will get defeated by 2 or 3 groups of regular infantry groups.
  • It would be nice to be able to see your partner’s circle on the map so that you know what he/she is looking at.
  • There needs to be more visual emphasis on your team being attacked on the map.
  • The power bars are too hard to see on most every unit, especially the bases.
  • The engineer just regenerates the health of the specific unit selected. You shouldn’t have to select each unit individually.
  • There are too many times that a unit doesn’t respond to the controls.
  • The Paper, Rock, scissors system isn’t strong enough. The specialist units should still be formidable against their P.R.S. counter part. I understand the flame throwers not being able to hit air units, but the elite riflemen should do more damage altogether considering how weak they are.
  • I think that the units take a few too many points. The limited number of total units sometimes forces you to spam units. A few more units on the field could allow for a more balanced attack.
  • When upgrading a unit or your base, it sometimes doesn’t show whether or not your selection has been made. It should be more defined in regards to how it looks when you have an upgrade in queue.
  • I would like to be able to zoom out further to see more of the map.
  • The bullets should be more defined visually. Sometimes it is difficult to see which units are shooting which units.
  • It seems like the shooting special powers such as the Mac blast and the Prophet’s beam are either too weak, or too hard to aim. I used both several times and it was very difficult to know if I did any damage. The old beam would push air units down so you knew you were hitting something. Usually nothing is happening.

There are many things that I do like.
I like the new artwork style.
I also like being able to make infantry out of the gate.
And I like the new generator system.
I understand that this is a beta. Great work so far.
