Iv’e played Halo since CE and throughout all the years iv’e always been grateful there hasn’t been any invincibility modes.
I hope Deathless in the training options isn’t in final release, what’s to stop cheaters finding a way to use it in pvp? Isn’t the idea of training, to train.
Even in training for a new unexperienced player, it just seems a pointless option to have when can just put 3 friendly bots and one enemy on recruit

It’s a toggle that’s in a training mode. I don’t see a problem here its just to help you train if you ever need it. Besides, hackers can make themselves invincible even if that wasn’t there. Even if someone figured out how to transfer deathless to multiplayer (which is very unlikely because that would usually require hacking and modding) 343 would just ban those players and patch out any exploits that allow you to do that.

True, it wasn’t meant in any negative way at all. Thinking about it, it is useful for helping to outwit spartan bots.

Given that this game is free to play, infinite will be full of cheats anyway.
By full I mean enough to ruin it.

That’s kind of why I thought about it, been having a nightmare on mcc with cheaters :-/. At least with bots you always know it’s an enjoyable, balanced, cheat free experience

Yeah, that’s like the one up side of bots! You don’t have to worry about cheaters. The bots play the game the way its meant to be played

Yeah I have spotted about a handfull of guaranteed cheats on Mcc but many more suspect ones.
I consider myself to be an above average in skill maybe a bit higher. I’ll finish a team slayer game with 20+ kills maybe 1 in 6 games. 15+ probably 8 in 10 games but occasionally when going up against a clear sweaty team it’s hard to even get 5, yet there’ll be some random on my team with nearly 30 kills.
I never saw that back in the day on 360 and given my huge experience playing halo, the eyebrow starts to raise.
That being said, they could just be absolute gods of the game.
The reward system needs to be carefully tuned so that you aren’t rewarded for performance. I’d rather it was, assuming cheaters weren’t a thing but performance rewards just encourage cheating.
The current system of challenge rewards could encourage a lot of diconnects mid game unless challenges complete on match completion.
