New mode and map are up and running!
With this game mode i get a better feeling what the game does. A game can last for an hour now. I like the new bombardment from the vulture. It takes some time to unlease hell but the new visual effects and damage are awsome.
I’m excited to try this out tonight. Going to playing all weekend.
I’ve just tried out the new mode and while i’m pretty impressed, they’re are still a few things I think need to be addressed. First off, the game needs notifications from your forces across the map (you tend to lose a large amount before you know anything is happening) and fast camera travel across the map needs to be included. Other than that, I found the game to be thoroughly enjoyable and true to the first game, so kudos.

LB for quick scroll. Don’t know why they changed it. It bothers me that it’s LB, doesn’t feel fluid like LT was in the last game
I’ve tried the mode out several times, and it’s fantastic. Honestly, I started out disliking Domination, but ended up feeling pretty good about it. Deathmatch, however, is what Halo Wars is really about, however, and it shows.
I lost a game for no reason , nobody destroyed any of my bases but I lost , what the hell is the objective of this mode ???
Yes, that happened to me just recently. My partner and I were finishing off the last base and up came “defeat.” It’s a bug.

A lot of people are reporting similar bugs - somehow being defeated when they shouldn’t have been.

Because that’s how you used to make the camera move faster in all Halo games, I imagine it came naturally for most players of the FPS games. Aside from that, triggers are just easier to pull than bumpers, and they’re pressure sensitive so you can fine-tune your movements.

I think it would be good for CA / 343 to comment on the reasoning behind the control changes as it seems to be a common theme of complaint / confusion.
