Dear People With Strong Concerns For Halo 4

Let’s fast forward to November 6th. You savagely rip off the wrapper that stands between you and Halo 4 as drool races out of your mouth you stare at your Halo 4 disc. Your arms are trembling and your mind is flooded with thoughts of excitement and desire to play this piece of software. You turn on the Xbox. You proceed to begin Halo 4.

You then have FIVE options:
Campaign
War Games
Spartan Ops
Custom Games
Forge

Now let’s see. The longest and most detailed Halo campaign to date? Check. Innovative episodic co-op multiplayer to keep you coming for more story for years? Check. Revamped Forge mode with even better environments and possibilities for map making that would fulfill our Cartographers’ deepest wishes? Check. A revolution in Halo multiplayer? Check.

Halo has evolved. Every single feature we’ve seen in past games has evolved and has expanded to new heights. War Games in particular, the future of Halo multiplayer, is going to completely change the game.

Here’s what War Games has achieved:

  1. Deepest customization ever seen in Halo and maybe even any online FPS.

  2. Specializations: Reasons to keep playing for years and constantly keep your experience fresh.

  3. A revamped progression system that will always keep players feeling rewarded.

  4. Completely new environments to play in that offer infinite sandbox opportunities. No more recycled content from the past. This is the future.

  5. Updates to classic game modes like CTF and Oddball that will keep the experience both new and familiar.

  6. Ordnance drops that now reward the tasks you accomplish in real-time multiplayer.

7. And for the first time, multiplayer progression that carries over into other modes like Spartan Ops to help keep the entire multiplayer experience feel united.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. And if for whatever reason you do happen to have a strong dislike for the game’s matchmaking, look at the vast amount of content available to you other than War Games. It’s a true Halo fan’s wet dream. And one more thing:

Who are you to tell people, or more importantly THE REAL FANS, that this game’s already ruined?

You sir have good logic.

This thread’s pure flame-bait

i agree with you but why make this post its just going to create mass arguing.

maybe the title but his reasoning is good

> i agree with you but why make this post its just going to create mass arguing.

well how else would you state reasoning

> i agree with you but why make this post its just going to create a mass arguing.

That was not my goal with this post. My goal was to try and open their eyes to the various other things to get excited and happy about. They act like competitive multiplayer is the only thing that matters in Halo.

People Expressing concern about a game tool/gameplay/weapon/vehicle/etc. with VALID reasoning and accurate facts = Good, every thing needs a little constructive criticism

Hating, as in “halo 4 looks like the most idiotic piece of -Yoink!- in this Galaxy, 343 are a bunch of dumb -Yoinks!-” == unessesary, so why post it?

maybe people should ask themselves “what benefit will this post have on the community or Halo 4?” if there is none, DON’T POST IT!

I’m a bit un-easy after you mentioned the wet dream part. But you make some valid points. However, this thread is pure flame-bait.

You’re forgetting custom games. ;o

his reasoning is good however calling the supporters of the game REAL FANS IN CAPS is just going to generate anger.

> i agree with you but why make this post its just going to create mass arguing.

It seems to me like mass arguing is inevitable on these forums. He did however, make his point.

From the title, I would have never guessed you would have supported your argument as well as you did. Well done OP.

instead of saying dear haters you could say something more polite such as: to those who have concerns

Well, it certainly has more replay value than any other game, and that’s excluding matchmaking; forge, custom games, campaign and spartan ops will keep me playing the game for at least two years just like Halo 3 did, with its epic campaign and forge mode. I rarely played matchmaking.

It just goes to show you what ignorant haters will say to get attention, saying stuff like “this game will be the worst game ever, like Reach” is not cool, because even if the multiplayer isn’t satisfactory, you still have more replay value than any FPS with the rest of the game.

I don’t mind people expressing concern about certain features about the game, but hating is a totally different story.

Quit calling out people and making hater threads. It’s getting old and only spurs more frustration and flaming. You are only making the community war worse. If they don’t agree, then leave 'em alone. Getting everyone excited and riled up only makes things worse.

‘Those who have concerns’ tend to come up as haters much mmore than anything else on these forums by making ridiculous claims such as “343 ruined Halo” or “Competitive Halo is dead!”. The game isn’t in their hands yet, so who are they to make claims that in no way, shape, or form help the community?

@OP
Don’t take it personally.

The Op’s post is like watching Godzilla get dropped on a dairy farm by Gamera.

OP is 100% correct.
