Dear people of halo

I’d really like to know why everyone gives 343 crap. think about it Cod sells the same game over and over. Same multiplayer and most of the weapons are similar. why hasn’t COD changed you ask because the developers are to “scared” to get the crap like 343 does for “changing the experience”. We should give them some credit for at least stepping out of any developer comfort zone and say thanks 343 for taking a risk with halo that could of been good or bad you never know.

Well, am not really everyone, but to be honest, Halo 4 was their first real Halo game and we can’t judge them at all, the critics are for them to improve, if that doesn’t exist you would have Armor lock V3 at this point.

I know theres a lot of hate, and I really don’t like to compare it to COD, as Activision is real strategic company with a lot on experience, they have on games in multi platforms, when Halo is only for Xbox one.
COD gets hate believe me, but in general Halo fans don’t really care how COD would be shaped, we only care about our game, the one we love to play.

Remember this is a new game for the new console, everything and some thing might and might not change, 343 did good on pulling a beta, they wouldn’t do it if they didn’t want to hear our feedback.

But in my opinion Halo 4 was a special case, talking about beta, time and everything.

Change is welcomed but it shouldnt alter a games foundations too much like halo 4 and from the looks of halo halo 5 has (to a lesser extent) plus most fans want subtle changes which retains halos main gameplay. Most new changes after halo 3 have altered the gameplay drastically.

In my opinion each Halo game has contributed their own changes and I have loved almost everyone of them. If they didn’t Halo; ODST, wars, strike, and assault wouldn’t have happened. I think 343 knows they have a huge shoe to fill and is doing well. It would be sheer laziness in development that would upset me. Keep it up 343!

Too true. ODST caused a lot of controversy prior to release for moving away from the traditional Master-Chief-style Halo experience and here we are, for a lot of people it is their favourite in the series for that very reason.

Change isn’t always good but you’ll never get the good changes without experiencing a few of the bad as well. It’s not like they turned Halo into a racing game! Experimentation is key if the franchise is to move forward, and even though current changes are not to my preference, I applaud them for trying and will stick with it.

Meantime, now I want a Twisted-Metal-style Halo-themed vehicular combat game. Go for it guys at 343i, go!

Going into different game genres or ways of playing a fine, but for shooters they need to keep it the same. ODST played only slightly different with the gameplay and didnt chnage drastically from base halo FPS gameplay.

343’s getting crap right now because everyone’s not getting what they want right when they want it. It’s become a common theme around here, unfortunately.

343 dont give a damn bout what people be sayin bout their game. They gotta get payyed boi.

I don’t think we can say that about CoD anymore. AW is the biggest step for the game since CoD4. It’s like making fun of America for it’s soccer. They’ve done surprisingly well this year, and I think they deserve some credit for that.

I disagree. I can’t in good conscience let 343i get away with a launch like that. Between 343i and Ubisoft we’ve had some really horrific launches for two triple A titles. If we aren’t up in arms about this then someone might get it in their head that it’s OK to have an unplayable game on launch.

We shouldn’t encourage that.

Well I guess if you put it that way
