Dear Kazuma Jinnouchi ...& 343!

Everytime im in the Halo 5 menu’s it reminds me of how amazing Halo is. Because of you, your great music has changed me. Just like how Marty did.
I was just thinking about my old days, then i thought about the old music, and thought about Halo 6’s music. I made up these amazing nostalgic songs in my head with combined tunes from all different halo’s. If before its too late, I would like to suggest music from previous halo’s that literally touched my heart, that could be mixed with your Halo 6 soundtrack

The reason im doing this is because this is the last game with the Master Chief. Everything he has done will be finished. The last game of the saga. A Halo with an amazing soundtrack playing will always win. Im not asking to copy and paste these songs into the new soundtrack, im asking if we can honor Halo with these, mix it in, like halo 5!
Trust me, legendary Halo fans will come back because of the soundtrack! I’ve seen it!

And to 343, I really think you should play the best parts in the main menu, not save it for campaign playing only! Why does it cut off when its about to get to the good part!? (The Trials doesnt play :frowning: ) If you go to the MCC and listen to each main menu music they have music that gets you going, and it can be sad Halo music also
Please, if anything a soundtrack like how Halo 5’s was will be the best thing in the world!

I liked Halo 4’s better. This soundtrack had nothing really memorable.

H4’s soundtrack was easily the worst and most generic.

Halo 5 is a step in the right direction, if H1-Reach are the benchmark.

Halo 3 one final effort is easily one of my favorite songs. It is just so epic and fantastic

this. Halo 4s soundtrack was pure garbage but Halo 5s was amazing.

Let’s not forget about Neil Davidge’s. “117” its arguably the best original score in the series. (Sorry Marty, he’s got you beat)

One final effort was amazing! The piano, the climax. Awesome stuff

The originals were a bit too repetitive IMO. I’d like to hear some homages, but I don’t want a copy and paste of Halo CE’s score, like Halo 2 and 3’s scores basically were, minus a few new tracks.

While some of the tracks off of Halo 4 had a generic ring to them. 117 & the arrival are two of the best original pieces in the Halo franchise.

Don’t get me wrong. Kazuma did a good/serviceable job with Halo 5. But I believe it would be better if him and Davidge worked together again for Halo 6. Davidge is better at creating original music.

I don’t really have a favorite but Halo ODST stands out with the more softer style (Could not thing of better wording right now).

Halo 4 soundtrack is actually really good but it just not as good as all the other Halo’s. By that I mean the overall song selection but there are a few that just as good as the Halo’s of old such 117, Atonement and Mantis.

Dude, stop yourself. Halo 4 had two of the best ORIGINAL songs out of the entire series

^ this. While Halo 5’s soundtrack is serviceable, Kazuma failed to add anything new to the franchise. He’s better suited to serve as a 2nd in command on Halo 6’s original score

Did you honesty listen to Halo 4’s soundtrack? Or did you base your opinion on the soundtrack off of the whole “it’s not Bungie, it’s 343! It’s not Halo, it’s a space aged call of duty” load of garbage that was going around back in 2013?

because if you listen to Davidges work, you would understand what I mean when I say overall, he’s right up there with Marty. Kazuma is a distant 3rd. (I would argue Nathan Lanier is ahead of Kazuma from his work on Forward Unto Dawn. Axios rocked!)

OP. this is not the last game with the Master Chief and Kazuma’s H5G soundtrack is easily the weakest in the series.

I loved the way they used the Halo theme in “The Trials” track. It’d be amazing if they used more of the classic tracks in future games, including Halo 6.

There’s no doubt about it that Halo’s music is a huge part of what gives it that “Halo” feel, just as much as its gameplay and everything else. It really sets the tone and atmosphere of the story well and goes great with the action scenes. Not many games that I’ve played give me the feeling of grand scale and epicness that Halo does. Even though the battles in many of the games haven’t really been huge, to what we imagine an epic battle should be, but the music sure as hell makes it feel epic.

Halo 4 and 5 both have amazing soundtracks, 4 for all the melancholy sounds and especially for all the rmx stuff (green and blue by koan sound is awesome) and 5’s for just the sheer audio class…the sounds have such depth and all that jazz, score wise I’d say amazing as well.

I Hope every game is influencing Halo 6, the music above and rock anthem for saving the world and especially under the cover of night (darkness?) one awesome piece of music right there…and lots of others.

So thank you 343, you literally have the best audio in any games I’d say…sound effects and score.

So yeah pretty sure they got this one

That’s about the only thing Kazuma did right with H5G’s soundtrack, rehashed old Marty titles.

For original work (adding something new to the series) Kazuma/H5G’s soundtrack earns 3 stars out of 10.

Halo has had a great campaign and soundtrack since the series first launched in 2001… 343i let us down on both with their release of Halo 5 Guardians.

Ps. This is coming from a runner and i rely heavily on playlists to get me through some tough mileage. All of the Halo soundtracks & Forward Unto Dawn are on my playlist. Only 2 of Kazuma’s songs made it there, “trials” and “the light is green”.

Your heart was literally touched. In fact, your beating was momentarily disrupted and tou entered fibrillation.

Nah I’m messing with you. I really like ODST and H2’s music cause they were the most prog.

You do know Kazuma composed “117” and not Neil, right?

yup i listened to it and its hot garbage comparatively. halo 5s soundtrack blows it out of the water.
