I use Forge mostly for screenshots, but I’ve seen some impressive maps in terms of scale, creativity, and complexity, and a lot of remakes of maps from older games.
I’m not good at Forge (to be honest, I’ve never really tried to construct anything significant).
So my question is, would it be possible to re-create any of these maps for online play:
Delta Halo Control Room - the area where the Arbiter kills Tartarus, tri-tiered, gravity lifts, etc. It would be great for 4 v. 4 slayer, though probably chaotic.
Pillar of Autumn Engine Room - This one would be quite ambitious but I think great for both small team and large battles
The Ark Control Room - where the Arbiter kills Truth; okay, this would be ridiculous, but great for Extraction or King of the Hill, what with having an extremely linear map where flanking pretty much doesn’t exist.
What do you guys think? Would those be possible to make in Forge?
Could be a good level for husky raid, you wouldn’t die instantly when you leave the base or just normal ctf. But it could turn into a “camp around the corner defending” type map

Flawed logic is flawed; Halo 4’s forge is vastly inferior to Reach’s, which makes projects like these nearly impossible. Not to say it can’t be done, but it would take so ungodly long that I can’t imagine who would be willing to undertake the task and not do it in a half-baked way.

That’s the thing, I was kind of just curious as to what extent one can forge … I think they’d be fun, but I’d never had the patience or time to sit and attempt to build something like that.
All of the patience I reverse for tedious nonsense is devoted to recording music, so the task seems daunting. I guess I would have just like to play one of these areas with a few buddies.

Well, in Reach those kind of projects were entirely feasible, but in Halo 4 it just end up being tedious. I can try to get to work on one of those on Reach if you would like, but I think you would be hard-pressed to find any forger willing to attempt it on Halo 4.

Reach, Halo 4, hell Halo 3 would be cool. I wasn’t actually asking anyone to tackle such a feat, but more or less wondering if it was possible. I’m sure if you made one (Reach would be great) and advertised the map on the forum you’d probably get a lot of people–myself included–downloading it.
Delta Halo control room- for this (just played this level on Halo 2 the other day) might be a little tedious to do in Halo 4 but I think would definitely be possible.
Pillar of Autumn engine room- this one is trick, there’s a lot of small things that would need to be detailed (i know on Halo 4 there is the community playlist for things like modded game types) so for this I’d recommend finding a infinite walls or infinite forge items mod. (Last time i checked these community mods are allowed as long as they’re on your file share.
The Ark control room- (same thing as pillar of Autumn control room) this one is trick, there’s a lot of small things that would need to be detailed (i know on Halo 4 there is the community playlist for things like modded game types) so for this I’d recommend finding a infinite walls or infinite forge items mod. (Last time i checked these community mods are allowed as long as they’re on your file share.
For the Delta Halo control room, do you mean the actual a control room where you kill guilty spark or the outside when you have to go up the ramps while fighting the flood?
I wouldn’t mind giving these a shot if anyone would want to help. Message me. Gt- Wrenchineer

The Delta Halo control room is where you kill Tartarus in Halo 2. Guilty Spark is killed on Installation 04B (the replacement ring) and the Ark control room is that long corridor where you fight along side the flood and Arby kills Truth in Halo 3. (A lot of control rooms in Halo … lol)
Although that entrance ramp structure you mentioned would be pretty sweet, but would probably work better if it was the Combat Evolved version (more walkways leading up) …
… but yeah, that long linear stretch made up of three sections punctuated by two rooms. I don’t know how one would get the seven ring holograms above it, but it wouldn’t really be necessary. It would be great for a Fiesta Classic or Husky Raid type game (imagine trying to get a flag from one end to the other). That’s the Ark Control Room where all 7 rings were to be fired.
The ark control room idea would be great for sniper practice with friends as well… there are a lot of campaign maps in every game I’ve played that I thought would be fun in multiplayer… I’d also like to see a return of ONI’s Sword Base map
