Dear Everyone at 343i and All Halo Fans

I know 343i will probably not see this. Hell, I know only a minute fraction of people on the Halo Waypoint site will see this. I know that I don’t even have to write this, or share this video from a small youtube channel, but I feel that it is of the utmost importance to the Halo franchise. As hard as it will be for me, I don’t wanna share my opinions or get personally invested in a stupid online “Old Halos are better” or “New Halos are better” argument. I just want to share this video so you all can see it and judge it for yourselves. Halo is a franchise that I have loved since the very moment I played the first game. I loved the game so much that I’ve played every single Halo game since. Even though I haven’t enjoyed the new games as much as the old games, I still bought and played the new games for a respectable amount of time. It always perplexed me why the new games felt so off center from my experience playing the old games, so for a long while I looked up the differences in the details of the games and tested them against each other for myself. There are so many details and changes between the Bungie and 343i Halos that it would take hours to write them all down, and it would be impossible for me to keep things objective. So instead, I went looking on the internet for a purely objective comparison between the games(yes it was hard). This particular youtuber Favyn knows a lot about the games and their mechanics, and he expresses his points as objectively as possible. I think this video is well worth a watch. Fans of Bungie’s Halos, 343’s Halos, and fans of both can appreciate a video like this.

I will give you a link. And I agree the whole debate is pointless. If you doesn’t like the new games don’t try to force your opinion on others. As for me I love and play every single Halo. Probably because I am dedicated to the series I don’t really care much about small details or features in a game.

Thanks for the link. How do I do the link thing for future reference?

You can only do it with a certain forum rank and above. I believe it’s Marine.

Damn.

The only bad thing about the new halos (halo 5) is the loss of split screen

I personally prefer the old games, the new games in my eyes have some ups… But many downs… However much like you I still bought them and played them for a good amount of time

In terms of looking at the games individually, sure you could argue that Halo 5’s split-screen was the only lacking true game “feature”. But in terms of a Halo game(comparing Halo 5 with the likes of Halo 2 and 3, the most critically acclaimed games in the series), split-screen is far from the only unsuccessful deviation.

Very true and great video!

True but the custom browser is a great addition as you can just look for the things you want to play like Jenga or fun house, however the reqs need to go.

Please don’t revive old topics thanks
