Dear Destructive Criticism

Do not make nonconstructive posts.

To those who have recently been complaining about the greatest Forge and Machinima tools in Halo ever to date, consider the following:
For your own sake, Get an Education. There are better things to do in life then play politics. If you did not take Multi-Variable Calculus before your Sophomore year in High School, it is almost certain you do not have the intelligence to construct a valid argument. Let superior intellect and friendly interactions among forum members dominate Waypoint.

 • Your friendly local neighborhood mathematician

Lol. Who wants some haterade.

lol. While I agree with the sentiment what does calc have to do with rational thinking, and coherent arguments? You can be math smart and a moron in other facets.

If you took Calc at that age you also likely took several other AP or CE courses (especially english, where you would actually learn to construct an argument).

Well naw, I mean, I really don’t like bashing companies for the sake of it, I don’t like being put into the whole category of “whining kid”, because I’m not one. However, the sole purpose of them delaying Forge was so they could give us a shiny, finished, product.

What we have has got some major bugs, and certain features in it just straight up don’t work. I mean, sure, the whole terminal moving back to its spawned location when activated is kinda annoying, but there’s ways around it. However, when the quicksave doesn’t quickly save reliably, and when there are scriptings features that just do not work, it’s kinda like a kick in the -Yoink-.

I know you like to climb on the white stallion of moral direction, but seriously, there is actual cause for complaint with what we’ve been given. I have no doubts these issues will get fixed, but it just means another month or two wait to get a service that we should have now.

I suppose that’s true. I took calc and did perfectly fine, but I chose not to do AP courses.

Just got schooled by a math nerd. Thats when you know you’ve hit an all time new low.
/sarcasm, you’re not actually a nerd.

In calculus and other areas of mathematics you must prove theorems, equations, properties of functions, and other higher order thinking topics using proofs that assimilate based upon logical proofs and mathematical evidence. In some cases, such arguments in higher order mathematics goes even as so far as to attempt to disprove the property of reflection which states that a number is equivalent to itself.

Hey guys could someone show me the way to the Halo forums?

Sure, just take a right at the corner of- wait a minute

I don’t have a problem with Forge, but this is probably the dumbest thread I’ve seen in a long time…

Haha thanks, I do enjoy Mathematics as well as several Scientific fields. I’m a bit unique compared to other individuals.

> If you took Calc at that age you also likely took several other AP or CE courses (especially english, where you would actually learn to construct an argument).

You are correct, I took Multi-Variable Calculus during my Freshman year of High School through a program called UMTYMP based at the University of Minnesota. I was also advanced in all subjects including English. I gotta say AP US Government is very enjoyable.

Amen brother, self-confessed intellects circle-jerking their way around the forums

> Hey guys could someone show me the way to the Halo forums?

This is by far one of the most hilarious posts I have seen anywhere on Waypoint in a very long time.

I shouldn’t feed, but I can’t believe that some people would actually say things like that.

There are things that can be thought, but shouldn’t be said.

Please no. Halo forums dominated by math snobs would be the worst.

I do understand your concern, however the extent that such complaining is being taken to is simply unfortunate. I wish for Waypoint to be a friendly community of friendly intelligent individuals who share common interests within the Halo community. I do apologize if my initial post did come of as egotistical.

Being friendly is something I don’t have a problem with, but everything else in the OP feels like sarcasm.

It’s quite alright young chaparooney, congratulations on a marvellous post! You really have made yourself look like quite the smartypants! If only I could personally bathe in your superiority!
