Dear teamkillers that slaughter me so they can get their hands on whatever power weapon: screw you.
If you team kill me for a sniper rifle, I fully expect twenty kills out of it. Oh, it only has twelve shots? TOUGH.
See the thing about me is that once you teamkill me intentionally, I’ll be the thorn in your side to the best of my ability. Trying to fire off that Spnkr you killed me for? It sure is a crying shame I jumped in front of you and you hit me, killing yourself and me. Reaaalll tough.
Typically I’ll just get you killed once, just for revenge. Sometimes I don’t want to have a betrayal on my record, so I might “accidentally” put a few BR bursts into the back of you while you’re engaging an enemy. What a shame.
Occasionally I’ll flat out teamkill you back. Usually only if you’ve betrayed me more than once. And usually when that occurs, I’ll give you a goooood t-bagging.
Sincerely,
TheMenacePotato
I hate people that do that, but I’d never kill them back. I really don’t understand their logic, though. Do they think that they are the absolute best ever with whatever weapon? Because, even then, it’s better to at least ask them if you can have it. Sometimes, they might oblige. What’s that? You have communication off? Is that because you hate it when your teammates yell at you for killing them? Tough.

Is it petty of me to get revenge? Sure. Does it help our team in any way? No. Yet, I’m not one for letting them feel okay with teamkilling.
I know it sucks and I hate it as well, but there’s no point to this thread. Everyone will agree with you and the guys who betray for power weapons will still betray for power weapons.

I do the same thing! I become an absolute menace to the person who kills me for the power weapon. The most notable time this happened is when I killed 4 people on the opposing team for a sniper rifle (which obviously I deserved immensely) I picked it up and copped a spnkr rocket to the face from a teammate because he wanted to get an unfrig in social BTB “Assualt”. Sure if he’d’ve told me he was going for the unfrig I’d’ve passed over the sniper, instead he killed me and I returned the favour with the next spnkr spawn and took his unfrig goal away from him. I got some awesome messages post game that warmed my soul, and hopefully a lesson well learnt for the team killer!

I got a voice message from someone saying I better watch my back, because they could easily hack and find my address and kill my family blah blah blah

Aand that’s what the Xbox LIVE report system is for. Even if they’re not being truthful, that’s still an unsettling thing to be told, especially if they’re unwittingly contacting someone younger or more naive.
This is one of the reasons of why friendly fire should not be a thing in Halo, but also for any FPS game… you’ll receive a bunch of unforgiving trolls who would dare to tick people off at any given moment.

Ugh this is why the internet sucks. Back in the BBS days being anon was somewhat understandable because there were a lot of lifestyles that were unacceptable in real life. This day and age people take anonymity to be the norm. You people are cancer and will eventually be killed off. The parallels to terrorism are quite frankly horrifying.

What is BBS?

Besides competitive arena, friendly fire serves no purpose in Halo at this point. It hurts the game 10 times more than it helps.
Welcome to Halo lol
I hate it also. I just stay away from power weapons now :\

Bulletin Board System. They were local servers that people connected to via landline modem. Kind of small scale, limited, local internet back in the day. Chat rooms, text games low res -Yoink!- and all kinds of other stuff to do. Before internet access was affordable/widely available they were pretty popular. We probably had a few dozen in my area code.

I don’t quite catch who you’re calling cancer. People like me that seek out revenge or the people sending death threats?
OP, your words warm my heart. May the fields of your vengeance flowers stretch beautifully as far as the eye can see.

Good ol’ dial up modems… Multiplayer was connecting with 1 friend and playing Doom… lol.

Yeah it’s all pretty vague. I was referring to the people trying to be intimidating by sending death threats. I’ve had idiots tell me they are SEALs and will hunt me down and all the rest of it too. Those people (who like to troll then harass/threaten) come across as weak minded turds that I pray don’t contribute to the gene pool.

Lol I usually just reply “come at me” because honestly, when was the last time you saw a headline saying, “gamer killed by vengeful opponent after being tracked down via hacking”
