Pleas watch this video 343. This is coming from a halo fan that critics you for the right reasons and wants you to do better. He doesn’t hate your halos, I don’t hate your halos, SOME OF US DON’T HATE YOUR HALOS, but we want you to be better and we want you to make a halo game that when it comes to release that the reception is what you want to hear! Just watch this video and his other videos were ge wants to help. Don’t listen to the haters that spew nonsense and that ride the hate wagon. Halo 5 is not a bad game, is not even a bad halo, but we want it to be better. We want it to feel more halo than what it is (wich feels more like halo than reach and 4). Please, if you follow a 343 member on any social media, send them the link provided above and watch it yourself (again don’t know how to do lazy links). Thank you and happy gaming.
I agree with you but money trumps all…
Welcome to the new world…
Not exactly. More people would buy the game if it went back to its roots

What does that mean? Like a halo 1-3 clone?

There cannot ever be a clone of the 3 because they are all three different games and all have likes and dislikes from the fans…

No more like trademarks of the franchise actually being used and not moving from Pillar to post with each iteration of the game hoping the Idea hits big with the fans.

I’d love to see the stats that prove this…
Ok let’s make this clear, 343i will/never go back to the old gameplay. 343 already have somethings down. But does that mean that they won’t bring back some elements? No. In fact, halo 6 has an actual chance. With the gameplay from halo 5, they changes they made/will make, all the aditions, if they transfer that to halo 6 with a UI like h2 or h3, it will be golden, and also with and improve story like halo 4 and level design like halo 2 it will be great!

Wasn’t that what halo 5 was supposed to have.
I agree with everything that LNG said.
Halo 3 is my favourite as a kid. My first xbox live game and even when call of duty became the new hit halo 3 would always call me back. It didn’t need large updates to bring back players. It’s UI, the music, the main menu, the campaign and range of modes made it superior.
Also it still pisses off that 343i still hasn’t brought campaign scoring back except in MCC.
Ps I bet this post is gonna have the ‘halo has to change to be relevant’

This. The game was already complete.
Whenever people mention paid DLC splitting the community, I don’t get it. If you look at Reach or 4 sure, but 3 was fine, and so are all the CoDs.

Is Halo 2 a Halo Ce clone?
The roots. As in the defining aesthetics, mechanics, etc. of a franchise.
You have a show that is loved for being a serious noir drama with fantastic music and gripping stories that really puzzle you. That’s what defines it, that’s what it built its viewership around. Over time it evolves into a comedy that panders to the lowest common denominator with fart and -Yoink!- jokes, with really bad plots where the answer to the mystery is obvious from the beginning and almost irrelevant to everything going on in the episode. The existing fanbase leaves because it’s no longer what they fell in love with. The show switches hands, and the new season is back to being a serious drama, just with different episodes and stories than before. The fans come rushing back because they’re finally getting what they always wanted all along.

This pretty much sums up what I want, I approve completely.

Exactly! Why change for the sake of change when you can just improve on the tried and true?

They didn’t change the halo formula for no reason at all, they thought they could widen the appeal and it fell flat (stares at h4). The real question is whether old halo would sell to the gamers of today, I’d say it would be a great change of pace from what we see now and hope that equates to solid population.
The only thing that is really keeping 5 alive is hype. once everything is said, done and released, there will be little replay value… funny thing about change. A masterpiece can stand the test of time but if someone adds as much paint as 343i has, the masterpiece will become unrecognizable. Now ask yourself, do you think the “Mona Lisa” would be as admired today if some pop artist decided to take a paint roller of black paint to it as an “improvement”? The same can be said for halo in some cases. little changes are understandable, but they kept thinking whether or not they could that they did not stop to consider that they should.

It would certainly be more appealing to me and my brother. We don’t even play Halo 5 because we can’t play together due to lack of split screen and the fact that we only have one Xbox One. I would play multiplayer by myself, but because of the lack of Gold account and the frustrations of playing Halo 5 solo, I don’t really do that often. If there were a Halo like the classics to come out in this day and age, I’d see myself playing that for years, especially if it has stuff like Halo 5’s Forge, Halo 3/Reach’s custom games, Halo CE’s balance, and an amazing campaign.
