After 7 months 6 Threads between Reddit and Waypoint, and 26+ tweets to as many 343i employees I’ve only received one response 6 months ago. So here is my Dear 343i to get Impulse triggers a toggle option in Halo 5.
Dear 343i,
It’s been 6 months since I have been asking for an toggle option for impulse triggers, and I don’t think you’re understanding the intensity of the vibration within the triggers every time you shoot a weapon. Throughout Halo 5 I just can’t stand playing for a long period of time because the vibration is so intense in the triggers that my fingers are numb.
People always tell me, “Just turn off your vibration it’s better anyways”. Well all I can just tell them it’s their opinion, and they don’t know how I like to play. I’ve been playing vibration in Halo since I can remember in Halo 2 and I LOVE it, but now in Halo 5 you’re making me dislike everything about it.
Please, help me with my situation so I can start possibly enjoy playing Halo again. It’s been 6 months that I’ve been asking for this. Other then one tweet I got back in November 2015 for months I have been ignored.

Now it’s May 15th 2016. So I am pleading with you now Bravo, Josh Holmes, Quinn DelHoyo, and 343i! Please think about adding a toggle option for Impulse Triggers!
So you want to keep vibrations because you used it in past Halos buy won’t remove it even though it numbs your help?
You don’t need to keep vibrations because you used it in past halos. Just turn it off. (Especially if you “dislike it”)

I don’t think you are understanding what I am saying. I love vibration, but I don’t like the vibration that has been added into the triggers in the controller this is why I am asking for them to give me an option to turn them off… 343i back in Master Chief Collection have added an option to turn off the impulse triggers, and I don’t see why they can’t do the same for Halo 5. I won’t turn off my vibration just because you think it’s a solution for me.
I will continue bumping until I get an answer. I will not continue to be ignored. Getting tired of this. It’s been 7 months.
you could dish out $150 for an elite and you can toggle it that way. not the best answer or most convenient but it is still an answer
Ridiculous , unless you have a modded controller there’s no way the vibration makes your fingers numb
Vibration is personal preference. That said, if you have preferred vibration in the past but it now makes your fingers numb then I have news for you, you no longer prefer vibrations. Out of everything we could get fixed/added to the game, this option is probably one of the absolute lowest in priority.

Yea, I believe there is a way to adjust the sensitivity for the vibration as well.
Like, not just shutting it completely off, but making it 50% less intense.
I may be wrong though, I’m not 100% sure.

Please do not bump. It’s considered spam and against the rules, thanks.

Linky
You can “Adjust vibration motors” with the Elite controller. Sorry OP, but this may be your best bet. The option isn’t available on the standard controller.
To me it seems like you have 2 options here if you don’t want to spend money:
- If the impulse triggers are somehow making your fingers numb, then turn off vibration completely and DEAL WITH IT! - Or if you want to continue to play with vibrations turned on because you LOVED IT in Halo 2, continue to let your fingers go numb and DEAL WITH IT!Damn, it’s not that hard of a decision.

Or they can add the option like they did in MCC.
Wow, you’re certainly dedicated, I applaud you for that.

The vibration in the triggers are are causing my trigger fingers to go numb after a few hours of playing. The intensity of the vibration is dissatisfying.

I will still love vibration even though you think different. I know this is low priority, but I would love to know if it’s being worked on. Bravo told me over 5 months ago that he would talk to the sandbox team, but has never since returned my answers. Then later in a chat I talked with Quinn DelHoyo, and I asked him the same question, and the only response he gives me is “IDK”. This was 4-5 months ago as well. I just want a legit answer to know if there will be a option, or not so I know if I should be waiting for this or not.
This issue will likely not be addressed by 343. They probably have a long list of things people want in this game, ordered by demand, not what came first. Unfortunately, you are the only one I have seen with this issue, so it is almost a non-issue from a business perspective. They have more important things to take care of, sorry. You said

That is an actual solution. You don’t like it, but that doesn’t make it any less of a solution. I don’t know what you consider long periods of time, but you should take breaks if your body has an issue with it after a period of time. I need to get up and move around every two or three hours, otherwise I get really uncomfortable. Breaks are good, take some.
TL:DR
3 solutions,
Take Breaks
Turn off Vibrations
Buy an Elite Controller.

I’ve tried both of the solutions, but I’m not rich enough to afford an elite controller(yet maybe). I basically made this thread to get it seen, and get an answer from an employee. I just want to enjoy Halo.
Turning off vibrations is your best bet. You will likely get another “I will discuss it with the team” response. sorry man. It just isn’t a priority for them, since there are so few people asking for it. Best bet is after all of the scheduled updates come out, when they have less to do.
