Dear 343, I have a message for you.

Man, I definitely think that they should release a free DLC or even 80 points or so DLC that contains old armors, and new armors. That would be sweet.

> The PAX build contains the full set of armor in Halo 4. In the final game, there are a variety of methods for unlocking armor and armor skins - ranking up, earning commendations, progressing through Specializations and completing goals on Waypoint. Some of the skins, helmets, and the FOTUS armor are exclusive to various retail offers. Some of these items MAY become available to all players at a later date. We wanted to focus on the Spartan-IV armors for Infinity, maximizing the amount of variety across the armor designs. However, we did want to include a reward for completing the Campaign on Legendary, so we decided to use the Mark VI armor as that reward. While we’d love to include every historical variant of the Chief’s armor, it’s just not possible to fit more armor sets into the available memory.

Ludicrous.

> (aka the player count limit enforced on console editions of BF3 that the PC does not have).

Uhm no. Remember when BF3 launched, it wasn’t long before servers appeared which supported 128 players instead of the normal 64. Remember how EA banned the people who played on those 128 player servers. PC games are still “limit enforced”, the limit is however higher than on the consoles.

I wouldn’t hold your breath. 343i stated a long time ago before the release that they created the engine in such a way that it is possible to add new armor to the game. But if there is no RAM available than it is still technically impossible, despite the engine.

Why? There is only so much RAM that they can use, they can’t magically add more RAM to the system.

Precisely, and that is exactly that I was getting at. A PC is far less restricted to a console in many ways, and it’s a pity seeing Microsoft have to keep Halo a flagship title for the Xbox only.

It could be so much more, but the hardware is constricting the developer’s creativity. If they chose to go on the PC platform, they would have greater freedom over the amount of memory they could be using both in terms of storage and when it comes to processing. Take Crysis for example, it looks fairly nice on the console, and is just as playable as the PC version, but the PC version has far superior graphics due to the hardware that PC’s support, and as such people can play Crysis at full graphics settings so that they may fully enjoy the beauty of the graphics-intensive rendering that Crysis can do for the PC.

That is what I’d love for Halo, a “cheap”, toned down version for consoles so that ageing hardware may run it, and then a PC version where they go all out on making it as pretty as possible. It would be amazing. Not only would it give players the option between two different platforms so that if they choose that they truly want to play on the console, they may, it would also give those players who have high-end PC’s a visual experience like no other.

Of course that’ll never happen because Microsoft has Halo strapped to the baby-chair of a console, the Xbox. Which is a pity, but that’s life I suppose.

Hopefully Halo 5 will be on the next gen Xbox, and that might make the limitations on it quite a bit better, after all Halo 4 is built on a console from 2005. Imagine what Halo 5 could be on a next gen console.

And before every PC gamer attacks me, yes I acknowledge that the PC will always have better specs, hardware and capability. :stuck_out_tongue:

Jeez even after the majestic map pack released people are still complaining

> Jeez even after the majestic map pack released people are still complaining

Right, because a single map pack with Infinity Settings solves ALL of the game’s issues…

indeed if the gameplay was more finetuned the maps wouldnt seem that bad.

This, my friends, is what’s wrong with the Halo community. *shakes head

Let me ask everyone a question, Why does the Halo community feel the need to complain about every little thing?
It happened with Halo 2
It happened with Halo 3
It happened with Halo 3: ODST
and it happened with Halo Reach
Now it seems it’s halo 4’s turn and everyone is still spreading hate and complaints. Also everyone saying “Halo 3 is sooooo much better!” then how come when I get on Halo 3, none of these people seem to be playing it?

> I’ve been playing since Halo CE, and millions of others have as well, but the changes Halo 4 made to the franchise are in the opposite direction of Halo CE. In reality, the majority of the people who like this game started with Reach, not 1, 2, or 3. They weren’t there to witness what you should have witnesses - the magic of Halo multiplayer.

so this is a non constructive post but the OP isnt?

OT: I already “thanked” them with my wallet, as did everyone else thus Making this thread useless.

343 thinks they did well since they sold a bunch, yet halo grows less and less relevent every day.

It’s non constructive as it’s telling someone their opinion is flat out wrong. Which being an opinion, it can not be wrong.

> Also everyone saying “Halo 3 is sooooo much better!” then how come when I get on Halo 3, none of these people seem to be playing it?

You want to compare the online population of a game that is almost 6 years old to a game that is barely 4 months old. I do hope that you yourself see that there is no logic in your argument.

As I and others have said before, if you just respond to everyone here equally you would know the answer.
