Why don’t you respond to the other side of the story? There’s also plenty of strong denial of your OP, yet you dismiss these posts like they don’t matter.
> And in my opinion Halo is still at it’s core Halo, Takes more then one shot to kill someone(Cod,battlefield, etc) High jump heights, shield and futuristic weapons, super soldiers, a great campaign, crazy fun vehicles and the mechanics, THE STICKY GRENADE! >:D, and the competitive feel is still there, along with map control.
> Seems like halo at it’s core to me. (Just my opinion, does not reflect others)
Halo is definitely not at its core.
Things like “jump height” and “super soldiers” and “vehicles” don’t make a Halo game. Guns, grenades, and melees do. Those aspects are lacking. You can’t just say, “It says Halo on the box, therefore it is still Halo”. That makes no sense.
Map control is still here?! Oh my god, which playlist are you playing in?! I want to get a piece of that action! (But seriously, where the heck is the map control? Instant respawn destroys any map control, and there is no incentive to control a portion of the map when weapons spawn randomly around the map).
Your opinion doesn’t take into account many of the things that are important to Halo’s core. You can say it feels like Halo’s core all day, but that won’t make it so. At the end, it’s still a knock-off by Microsoft trying to make more money.

Thats because those people that are leaving are Heretic to the Halo Franchise and we should “have them hung by there entrails and there corpse paraded through the city.” Halo 2 Quote lol.
343 left out so many little details that make Halo Halo…like:
Leaving bullet holes in the walls when you shoot at it.
no animation on ghost cockpit or Hog
2D low res on backround skybox…Halo 2 had better looking skyboxes
your spartan no longer looks at weapon or moves after being inactive for a few minutes.
Your spartan no longer shakes his hand in pain when your weapon overheats
nothing on MP maps to interact with like in previous Halo games.
No funny dialogue with random grunts etc
No theater in campaign…
We actually really went backward as far as details and such with Halo 4
> Why is the first reply hidden? It was an honest post with the guy’s opinion on the game. Does that really warrant being censored?
It was hidden because “opinions can’t be wrong, and the OP wrote an opinion, therefore by saying ‘Wrong, yet again,’ I created a non-constructive post.”
Yea, I don’t get it either. If opinions can’t be wrong or debated, then more than half of the threads in this forum should be ended right now, as they can all be considered opinions.
Halo 4 is a great game as it is. It’s just that 343 need to connect with the community more. They are doing a great job with the weekly updates! But may just a little more communication with the community that care.
Though, I do agree that Mark V should of been in this game. But I can live without it. The main problem that bothers me is the lighting in forge maps. even if you are in the shade, you glow like a light bulb.
> > Also, Infection disappearing is kind of depressing, but hopefully it will be released in a title update, or in Halo 5.
>
> Infection is flood.
False.
Flood is a form of Infection, but Infection is not Flood. Much like a square is a rectangle, the category of “rectangle” (i.e. Infection) encompasses many more shapes than just equal-sided “squares” (i.e. Flood).
I hate playing Infection variants, and I rarely do so, but even I feel sorry for the Infection-lovers. 343i took out all forms of customization in Infection, and it’s completely hindered those people from playing the classic Infection gametypes they love.
there are many issue with halo 4 however the people are raging are just looking at every aspect that is wrong or just like change you havent taken the time to look at the good points of the game, like i said before this is there first halo game and in all fairness for there first game they done a hell of a better job than bungie with halo reach as that was just awful in so many more ways.
they will learn from there mistakes and improve that how life works you make something with a few new ideas and features, if they dont work you scrap them in the next game you create or just adjust them to people feedback.
Things that need more time and thought in:
MM map designs [i want maps that flow well not just designed to look pretty]
Theatre Mode [needs an improvement and need to be available for all modes]
Forge [Better designed forge maps “flat lands”][Returning Features]
Improve weapon balancing and loadouts [most likely in title update]
Custom Game Mode [NEEDS A OVERHAUL]
there are more but those are a few of the main ones, BUT they did pretty much balance armor abilities and i know there is a bug here and there but there are pretty much balanced i would rather see invis as a pickup but hey i still use it and enjoy it. they added to the lore of halo with the creation of some really good books and linked sections to the game as well as expanding with the terminals, new weapons with unique-ish traits compared to other weapons.
i think a lot of people just dont like the change and is understandable however halo 5 will be an improvement but when its released its going to get so much hate saying that halo 4 was better than this its the way the world works, one last thing population doesnt mean jack it happens to most online games now a days people play for a lil while get bored and move on nothing you can do…

The guns still feel an awful lot like Halo to me, and it’s still a 2 pummel kill. Also, dominion has no instant spawns, is completely about map control and the weapons spawn in key locations in dominion. ← good game mode, I personally recommend it. P.S frag then head shot is still in, and stickies… sooo…? Let’s just be positive.
PPS. When I say support I mean for the game and those with opinions against it, as long as it’s constructive criticism and not just whining, it’s helpful.

I personally don’t think that should have been edited.
While I hate to question Moderator Decisions I seriously have no idea why the first reply to this thread has been flagged as non-constructive. It was clearly a reply to the OP…and I didn’t see any form of insult. But that’s just me I guess.
Probably going to get edited/banned for questioning a Mod but whatever I guess…

Me neither but you should see the PMs between me and Butterfingerdoodle.
> Also - no such thing as using “innovations” from modern gaming. If you copy it, it’s no longer an innovation, it’s copying. I can’t “innovate” the lightbulb, someone else already did. Halo 4 has ZERO NEW FEATURES. There is not one truly new unique feature in Halo 4. To me that’s kinda sad.
An innovation means “Copy and make it better”. The word innovation means exactly “new” but let’s discuss the definition of “new”, shall we? No.
