It’s not just COD that has those features.
So it’s not just innovation from COD, it’s innovation from modern gaming.
I played all the halos,people are entitled to their own opinions.For me?I don’t mind change even if its too much,there will be another TU soon,but not as soon as you expect.Halo 4 is good,some people that plays are probably thinking “I don’t wanna play halo 3 V2”.They probably wish for a classic playlist though,that is all.

This so called innovation just ruin the game. You can´t denied that alot of people hated this game bacause of that. If you play previous Halos as you said, just put Halo 3 e tell me if the game needed this much “innovation”. It´s supose to be Halo 3 continuation not a new game from 343i.

Innovation is required to make a game stay with the times, and it’s their first game. What game have you made?

Yea see the community is in CSR withdrawl your age and when you picked up Halo is being recontructed into a OAVR( Opinionated Age Viability Rank). Prepare to see this happen on Halo 4 when CSR hits Visible or not it will inspire the same reactions at the hint of mentioning it.
I have played every Halo game ever since the beginning. I have loved every single one of them.
The story of Halo has always kept me coming back and I feel 343 is more than capable for doing the job.
Multiplayer on the other hand… Well. Let’s just see what what they do about that.

Nothing is wrong with Call of Duty, however every shooter and their mothers have added features in an attempt to mimic the success of CoD. This leaves the market full of shooters that all feel the same.
I can now play CoD and get the same experience as Halo, but with a different coat of paint, and that is a major turnoff.
For that reason Halo has joined the endless sea of samey FPS rather than being the unique game it has always been.

I’m seeing quite a significant contradiction here. The OP stating his opinion, however much you disagree with it, is in no way representative of a “backwards” statement.
You know what is backwards? Inventing facts to fit your opinion. On what basis are you claiming that the supposed “majority” of people who like Halo 4 started with Reach? Was there some public survey posted out that I missed? I keep very up-to-date with this series and absolutely no official survey or assessment of when fans started playing the games has been released to my knowledge, so at this point you’re talking out of your rear because you’ve absolutely no substantial proof to support your claim.
