When I was 6 years old, I picked up a video game. That game was Halo:Combat Evolved. I loved it, then came 2 and 3, ODST and reach. I even loved halo wars.
Then there was Halo 4, I’ve been a long time fan of the franchise and I’ve played since the beginning, and I just wanted to say thank you for Halo 4.
Despite a lot of others that are “bagging” on Halo 4, I love the game. Half these people that don’t like the game seem to have started on Halo 2-3 or Reach and haven’t even seen the full Halo story or have taken time to read the books, but I have and I absolutely love the game you have produced. The story was compelling and the multi-player is fun, there are annoying times sure (BOLTSHOT CAMPERS >:@) but that is because of annoying people, not because the game is “bad” as some say.
The only problem I have with Halo 4 in it’s entirety is that one thing is missing, the thing that started it all for me. The Mark V armor. Other then that complaint of mine the game is amazing (in my personal opinion which does not reflect others)

I’ve been playing since Halo CE, and millions of others have as well, but the changes Halo 4 made to the franchise are in the opposite direction of Halo CE. In reality, the majority of the people who like this game started with Reach, not 1, 2, or 3. They weren’t there to witness what you should have witnesses - the magic of Halo multiplayer.
You are completely backwards in your statements, and a piece of armor is definitely not the only thing missing. Lack of features, lack of classic playlist, and plenty of other things that should have been in the game are not.

Once again this is “MY” opinion on Halo 4, I realize the game lacks previous features, but I can overlook them for the fun game play and great story.

i started on halo ce and i must say the campaign and the personality of halo 4 i love. The main issue im finding is like others have said is some of the feature they added in multiplayer which takes the experience in the wrong direction IMO, ordnance drops are my main hate of this games multiplayer as well as random weapon spawns if these were removed i would love multiplayer so much more.
The fact theater has been removed for campaign has also bugged me a little as well as many of lil features in gametype creation, and in forge features but the one and only hate i have for custom games in halo 4 is the fact they replaced infection with flood or assualt for grifball… ¬_¬
overall halo 4 has to be one of my favs but there’s a couple of features and odd bits here and there which ruin this game in a sense for me, but 343 done a great job for there first game and shouldn’t be receiving all the hate they are getting.

Yes, theater being removed from campaign bothered me as well, and I usually only play Dominion for the ordinance drop reason, as it features no Ordinance and no instant spawns.
I agree with OP.
I love halo 4, i love how 343 manage to change things but keeping the same style.
343, halo 5 will be epic!
Also, Infection disappearing is kind of depressing, but hopefully it will be released in a title update, or in Halo 5.

wow. people are so negative…first let me say i started playing halo with halo 2 and by the time halo 3 came out it was my first online game i played on xbox live. and of course i played the greats like atari and nes back in the day to lol. halo 4 is not a bad game.
halo ce, halo 2 and halo 3 were great. halo reach made some bold new moves in terms of online play with the weapons and armor stuff. halo 4 is trying to move forward from that. the majority of people who say halo 4 is bad are the people who played the first 3. reason being is because you expect halo 4 to be the exact same game as halo 3. and when its not ya’ll get upset. halo 4 kept it real by bringing master chief back and making it feel more like halo to me than reach did. games have to progress and improve. the stuff that made halo 3 good are still in halo 4. the playlist choices, forge and great campaign. 343 is listening to the community. they gave you updated playlist, and are bringing back the rank system. every game has its quirks, but nothing in halo 4 as of right now is bad enough to get all this hate, “besides it not being halo 3” lol. people are sounding more and more like the cod community with all the complaining.

And I love Halo 4. I played and purchased all of the Halos on the first day… and I love Halo 4.
Enough with the revisionist history concerning Halo 2 and Halo 3… which had major issues upon release…

There are many other games other then COD that have those features, it’s most modern games in general not just Call of Duty. Halo 4 is still at it’s core Halo.

my big problem with dominion is the fact they hand out rocket launchers left right and center but its still one of my fave game modes
I “believe” the time for hate is almost at an end, we just have to give “one final effort” and “stick” with the Halo franchise.
