Dear 343....from a fan

I consider myself a Halo Veteran, being following the game since CE. I’ve only stuck with the gaming media, and not dived into the novels or literature however i assume they’d be excellent.

As a gamer, i’ve been promoting Halo as “the best first person shooter ever” for the past 10 years. Telling my friends to play, promoting it where i can basically.

Unfortunately i have to say that time has come to an end.

I am extremely disappointed with Halo 4. I gave it a couple days to think it over, but my resolve has never been stronger.

Here is my honest opinion what where i think you failed.

Graphics/Textures - Now, this CAN’T be my system as i have everything set up appropriately. The graphics are HORRIBLE in this game. Compared to previous games, and current games. I feel like i’m playing something from a PS3. Pixels and textures aren’t rendered and high definition as they should be. Where did you fail? You failed in attention to detail, that’s where. I don’t know what you were focussing on, but attention to detail was not one of them.

Receptiveness - What happened to the awesome interaction between ENEMEY and Hero? I feel like im just going through the motions with this game…there is no interaction between the enemies and myself other than “shoot, duck, swerve” etc

Soundtrack - Did you not hire an appropriate composer? Why is the music the ‘background’ to the game? Where is the epic soundtrack to compliment a level? WHY am i listening to something playing in the background? On that note, it sounds quite repetitive all the same.

Now, i’m not being a hater even though i might have had some previous angry rants. This is factual - from a fan -

i have not finished the game, but i will. I have no qualms with the story so far but i’ll reflect after i finis hte game

This is NOT the best looking game on the xbox, in fact its the WORST. and i hate to say that this is the worst halo game ever.

I can also understand the Microsoft may have been pressuring you - BUT the QUALITY of your work HSOULD NOT HAVE SUFFERED.

After i finish this game, i will promptly forget i ever saw it and concentrate on multiplayer…because that’s what you really wanted us to do right? focus on multiplayer?

I can no longer promote the current Halo, and can only promote previous games. Which is sad.

I will now also convert and dedicate my time to Call of Duty Black Ops 2.

You’ve lost a fan - the fans you were supposed to please when you took over from Bungie.

I still can’t beleive after how freakin amazing 343 has made the graphics look on seven year old hardware, that people are still complaining about them not being good enough.

Really? The graphics are bad? just look at the opening cutscene from the campaign. That looks almost live-action, I had to remind myself it was animated. Graphics are amazing in Halo 4. Also while I agree the music isn’t as good as previous games, it is still a beautifully epic soundtrack.

Regardless, Have fun on Black Ops 2. I’m sure it will be much more fun, I heard they learned to texture grass properly.

Is this guy for real? I think somebody needs to get rid of their crt monitor and stop using bits of rope to connect their xbox to the screen.

This is honestly the best looking game I’ve ever seen on xbox and the attention to detail is some of the best I’ve seen anywhere across any platform.

The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, best of any halo game, you must be on crack

my cousin came to my house the other day to have a look at the game and the first thing he mentioned was how great it looked

for a 7ry old machine, 343 have done a fantastic job making it look this good

The graphics are undoubtedly some of the best on Xbox. Troll thread is troll.

Either Get glasses,or and HDMI cable with an HD tv. because hands down the graphics are the best of all of the halo’s. And I am not the only one who thinks this. H4 Got MANY awards for their excelent graphics.
