For example I punch one ally guy out of fun and he stalks me the whole time! Or an enemy who gets even more pissed off I killed him and only focus’s on me. It’s sorta funny when you kill an ally out of wanting a weapon and they can’t/don’t boot you, but anyway, isn’t that annoying?
I confess, I have done this. (Though I don’t make a habit of it.)
Last time was BTB on Hemmorage.
I re-spawned on the roof of Blue Base just as the Sniper rifle re-spawned. Without thinking I immediately picked it up and was stickied by a team-mate, who had evidently been patiently waiting.
Now, I can understand why he did it - although to stand there idly for a time when he should have been helping his team-mates isn’t good practice.
Anyway, I was so mad at this betrayal I followed him all over the map, dropping his shields and making him an easy kill.
He eventually quit.
Now, looking back, I’m not proud of what I did to someone so immature and sinking to his level but, hey, it felt good.
And Justice delayed is Justice denied!!
I’ve followed some players. I don’t like it when people camp for powerweapons. Especially players who are doing bad. Often times We will be losing by a few points only because only a couple players are killing enemies and the rest are waiting for the tank/sniper to spawn. It’s frustrating. Generally I drop their shields and wait for the inevitable betrayal so I can boot. I would rather boot a bad player and take the number disadvantage than allow him to screw up the game. Another practice is taking the weapon before the can grab it and then wasting the ammo before they have a chance to kill me. Often times they will rage quit shortly after finding their precious sniper rifle only has a couple shots left after waiting so long.
I had a team mate who during a game of SWAT kept camping in a corner and it started to annoy me for some reason. He killed no one. No one ran by. He was waiting by the exit of a grav lift which no one in SWAT would ever use without a radar. Every time I ran by he was just sitting there and I thought “You payed how much for an XBox and Halo just so you can sit there doing nothing?”
Now, on the other team, 3 of the 4 player quit and nothing was happening, so I just stood there, staring at him. Then made my spartan shake his head back and forth in disappointment. He began tea-bagging the air like an ape. Then I stood on his head. He kept tea-bagging himself. Then I left the game because it was ridiculous.
For me, if I kill someone and know they will come back to my position, I will only move a small distance away. A good position to ambush them, while they expect me to be in the same place I was before.
Depends on my mood. I’m usually a team player and I expect the same from people I get teamed up with. If you’re AFC at the start of the game and you’re helping accumulate points for the other team I’ll betray you - I don’t care if I get booted. I’d rather not be teamed up with someone who won’t participate.
But if I have someone who’s acting aggressively towards me and I haven’t knowingly done something to deserve it I’ll still let them betray me so I can booth them. Hopefully. I fond that as long as you don’t retaliate against that person in any way your odds of getting the option will appear.
Well here is a thought…dont do that.
A lot of people, myself included, dont like it when their own teammates attack them for no good reason.
I play griffball all the time and half the time I get the ball, my teammates come after me because they want it to either score for themselves or to keep it in our spawn so the rest of the players spend the rest of the round just killing each other. Meanwhile, whenever I get the ball, I play as a TRUE teammate and I actually TRY to play how the game is SUPPOSED to be played.
As for other game types with power weapons, learn to play without them. People are too dependent on the power weapons these days and if you are losing to a team that doesnt use a power weapon, then you need to look at how YOU play instead of relying on the easy way out. If they are using a power weapon and beating you and your teammate is hogging the one on our side, then step up and try to do better than you currently are. The game should not be won based on who has what power weapon, it should be based off of teamwork and tactics.
That is the one thing I never liked about Halo. Everyone wants the easy way out and hardly anyone wants to use their own tactics and strategy.
And if you whack someone just for the hell of it, yea, they will get irritated and follow you. If you dont like that, then DONT DO THAT! That is your own dumb*ss fault. Dont look at them like they are doing something wrong, YOU are the one who started that crap in the first place.
I have had this happen to me countless times, yes I’ll give them back the odd, “I own you for the rest of this game” mentality but still it annoys me.
I remember I had a game on Hemorrhage (Can’t spell it I know) where I jetpacked to the sniper (red base) and as I got to it someone threw a grenade and melee-d me killing me, and taking the sniper rifle for themselves. Screw it, I thought and continued on with the game end score ended up with me on 24 kills and him on 4 (weapon of choice according to stats) sniper rifle. He stayed in the lobby and next game same thing happened on the same map, I followed him around and kept lowering his shields.
Morale of the story, just be a team player, if someone gets that sniper rifle or fuel rod gun, just let them. Come back for it later, make the best of what you have, it makes the game a whole lot better for you, your teammates and also the other team, because they know they game will be a lot more competitive and fun.

Heavens above - a team player!!
Would that there were more like you!
I absolutely hate team killing, even if you’re doing it for a weapon or fun or because of a personal vendetta, the only time it is acceptable is if it is a pure accident. I think if you team kill out of fun, you get what you deserve if that person follows you around and annoys you. If you didn’t get that certain weapon that you team kill for, you only have yourself to blame for not getting it, you shouldn’t betray your team mate for it.
