They didn’t add extra levels, the pass was leaked before the game came out. What they said in the blog is they have more events and such planned for the game to keep it fresh. What they did with the battle pass is just make it take excruciatingly long or this was the original design. Regardless, it’s way to slow.

Sure the battle pass was leaked, but clearly 343 has been targeting November 15th for quite some time, so the pass could easily account for that.
The worst possible scenario is if this is the intended pacing for a typical 3 month season. If that is true then 343 has spent way too many late nights trying to finish this game in time and obviously needs some rest.

The issue isn’t that it takes long, the issue is that you can only progress by doing the challenges only. And those dictate you what modes to play, what weapons to use, how to go about certain battles, and with you being unable to even select the mode you play, it actively discourages people from plaiyng the game mode. Happened to enter Capture the Flag? Well why would you try to get the Flag if your challenge tells you to run 5 people over with a warthog?
If there were XP gained per match, and maybe bonus XP for winning, that would let people just play whatever mode they want and incentivise them to play to win. The way it is now, the game tells you exactly how to play it if you want to make any progress. And THAT is an issue.

No one’s mad that they aren’t lvl 70 in 2 days. People are mad that their skill, and to an extent, time isn’t being rewarded. 343 pacing the battlepass is pointless. Players don’t “need something to do”, players just want to play to have fun, and part of that fun is kickingass and looking good while doing it. If 343 is that afraid of losing players because they finished their BP too quickly, then perhaps they made an unfun game (they didn’t). As of right now, this BP is designed give you everything over the course of 160 days (assuming you play every day).
tl;dr Who are 343 to tell players how fast they want to grind? They bought your BP, let them do with it as they please.

You have 10 years to get that armor set. Battlepasses on this game don’t ever expire.
It would be better like MCC wouldn’t it where we get season points and we can unlock in any order on each tab. Having to unlock all still before moving onto the next one.

Wow, using this estimated 4 games/level 20 min/game (which is itself giving the BP the benefit of the doubt for challenge rolls), it would take 132 hours to go from level 1 to 100.
For the Emile armor kit (level 95), that would require 125h:20m. Since it costs $168 to pay-level up to 95 (Premium BP for level 25 + 70 more levels), our time is apparently worth about $1.34/hr.

As a player that has been playing the multi-player since ‘BETA’, and has completed the Battle Pass, I can tell you it took 2 months to complete the battle pass; I completed mine back in December. The only thing I got to do in this mutiplayer now is, Complete Weekly Ultimates(when they arrive), and Rank up to Onyx(Started at Gold 4 and now at Diamond 2).
