how many people are still playing this?
Are you talking about the multiplayer or campaign?
Lots, but it can be quiet/slow during off peak times, like when America’s asleep and the UK is working on weekdays.
Halo 4 is the one that died.
Doesn’t seem dead to me. I usually see a good number of players whenever I get on for most modes such as Infection or SWAT.
Usually at the weekends I see 7k,. This game is far from dead.
It’s pretty active, or active enough to find matches. The last time I was on was a few weeks ago on a weekday and there was about 4-5 thousand people on multiplayer.

Yep, this morning I barely got a few matches and was slow. Usually in the afternoon or night its pretty good.
I usually check in to see what the population is at. I have seen it at low as 2K and as high as 5K. It gets really sad when you break it down individually by playlist :’(. We should repopulate Halo: Reach for its 7th anniversary in September… it’s what Bungie would want! Or I guess they would want us to play Destiny 2.
There are a fair amount of players still. On a normal day, I can go into matchmaking and there are like 5,000 players easily.
Yeah the game is certainly slowing down like over the summer it was probably around 11k on weekends now its about 7k or so, but its still alive in the popular gametypes and I don’t see it going anywhere for another year at least, a lot of people including myself don’t like the new halo multiplayer and we go to reach to get our fix of Halo multiplayer.
in all honesty halo reach is still an active game, thing is, not everyone that plays reach is on waypoint, or on matchmaking, if you compare the matchmaking players to custom game players, trust me you will find around triple the players playing custom than matchmaking
i play it time and time again
How active are we talking about? I’m stoked to hear that it is alive! Gotta get my best friend back on and travel back to the old days, does anyone know if Halo 3 is still going on without having to use the Masterchief Collection?

Halo 3 on Xbox 360 is probably dead. The only playlists that have active players are Lone Wolves, Team Slayer and Social Team Slayer (don’t really remeber the names). But I just play Halo 3 for it’s amazing campaign. The ones that still play Halo 3 matchmaking are very Yoinking good. It’s good to know that people still play online in a 9 year-old game, which indicates that the game is really amazing (7hanks Bungie for giving us this awesome game :D).

I’m assuming you are talking about Halo: Reach?

I second this, is this Reach we are talking about?

Yeah sorry I should’ve been more specific.
As far as I can tell, Reach is anything but dead.

My bloodline and I were on the other day with lots more of my friends and theirs, also I played a bit of matchmaking and saw about 7,000 people still playing. This is great to see
