Agreed completely. 100% of my friends circle playing infinite on pc are playing through the Xbox app. I started on steam but switched to Xbox app around when campaign launched - ditto for them
Windows Store experience is much worse than steam.
The vast majority of gamepass players play on console.
As a free game The data of steam is absolutely referential.
I donāt know why people always want to ignore it.
I mean its definitely not finished. Thereās no assassination feature, theres no coop campaign, theres no forge, no custom games. Like yea we should all have patience for them to come back and start work on this game again, but to say its āfinishedā is just lying. If it was finished they wouldnt be talking about delays on coop and forge.
Just use the monthly payment option through Xbox. Iāve gotten 3 XSX that way so far, itās not always immediate, but it at least guarantees one. Now my entire family can play.
Halo Infinite is basically in a Go Fund Me / Kick Starter phase for the next 3 - 5 years lol It is just sad.
By the time the game is up and FULLY running with all Multiplayer Playlist, Co-op Campaign, Forge and actual earn able armor / Coatings / Stances without dropping a single Cent ; The next Elder Scrolls game will be released.

got him. lol shilling so hard for a game that he barely plays. pretty sure he is being paid for it
.
I mean, right now they have pretty similar numbers and 24h highs actually.
DBD also constantly does events, rather than stretching them out over week long intervals.
Also as someone who religiously played DBD for about 2 years, Iād much rather play Infinite still. I havenāt touched DBD since like 2018.
Yeah, because letās make the play base smaller and not let pc players have the ability to play Halo on their pc. Why should pc players not have the ability to play Halo? Itās a massive market that makes a lot of money and can help support games long after their lifespan. Remember when pc players couldnāt finish the fight with H3? MS decided to make H3 a console exclusive and shut pc players out.
MS has been making it a priority to merge the pc and Xbox gaming space so that more players can play their games. Itās a simple fact that have a larger market of people will allow games to have more success and make more money.
Itās painful to see that people like you would rather have people not be able to play a certain game because you want to it be exclusive to your plastic box.
All that is still achievable without having to force us to play together. MS has been pushing this integrated nonsense for over a decade and every iteration of it has failed miserably.
If PC is such a large and profitable market, then release the game separately for just that.
But donāt sit there and try to tell me that forced crossplay benefits anyone at all. Itās just MS trying to mimic Apples ecosystem.
Or 343 could do what MCC did and allow players to choose what inputs they want to match against. That way controller/console players like you could play against only people with a similar input. Not everyone one pc uses M&K, as some do use controllers because itās what they prefer.
And 343 could also add anti-cheat to the game sooner rather than later. Donāt know why the game launched without it, when MCC on pc has Easy Anti-Cheat.
Or they could just give us the option to not play together. Itās not a hard concept to grasp. But mention it at all and suddenly people want to throw out that playlists will suffer, and matchmaking will take forever⦠but what happened to to rich and robust PC community?
That rich and robust pc community is referring to how large the pc market is. Not everyone in it is going to be playing Halo or will even try it. Even when Halo hit its peak player base on steam, it didnāt come close to the numbers of concurrent players that CSGO has. While Halo is by no means a niche game, it isnāt a household game like say COD is.
And being that this is the Halo game for the next 10 years, itād be a dumb idea to separate the player base and potentially hurt one or both parts of it.
Sounds to me like you need us more than we need you.
PC players constantly have 75-90% discounts on games and DLCās, not to mention they have coupon codes to use on games from old to new to reduce the prices. As ā RICH ā as the PC community thinks they are, in reality, itās just handouts and theyāre more prone to get targeted to drop money on games that they play one and not touch for months to years.
For older games, yes those discounts exist. Yet thatās not the case for releases even 2-3 years after a release. If a game is successful on steam, it takes a long time for sale prices to reach that 75-90% discount that you stated. One example is Monster Hunter world, a game that released in 2018 and is only 34% during this steam sale. Or Dark Souls remastered, which Iāve only seen on sale like 2-3 times since itās release. Other games like Mass Effect Legendary edition are 50% off, but thatās also due to the fact that itās a collection of older games.
As for constantly having sales, Iād like to know what AAA games are constantly on sale for 75-90% off on pc launchers. Even indie games donāt even hit those discount levels. Unless youāre talking about third party key sellers, which can run the case of being stolen keys that can be revoked. And as a reminder, third party key sites also sell discounted versions of console games as well. So itās not just pc games that can have discounts that save you money.
If I recall correctly, Doom Eternal went on sale a few months after release. It happens sometimes.
Thatās Nice, but I donāt remember asking⦠
Anywho, back to having more exciting matches. Have fun!
Yes, pay monthly when there are ZERO consoles in the stores to sell to consumers. That makes sense, if you live in denialland
You must have missed the part where I secured 3 so far.
Ah yes, a scalper, the root of the problem.
