Dead Bodies

If you haven’t seen, in the Oddball and Flag assassination, the dead bodies disintegrate like Forerunner weapon kills. I asked why this happened, and the most common response was that it happens to all bodies because Multiplayer is technically a simulation.
Now, I hope this isn’t the case, because I think dead bodies should stay for a while. Dead bodies are a part of multiplayer, signalling players on where their teammates died, or where possibles weapons could be. Also, after watching some gameplay videos, I see that some bodies stay after being killed with normal weapons.

I don’t like the disintergration for the flag and oddball either. I think it should be limited to forerunner weapons ONLY.

I’m pretty sure dead bodies stay for plasma and human weapons, but disintegrate for Promethean weapons. I’m sure that they can change this before release, and hopefully they do. Why should getting stabbed in the head make you disintegrate? As well as getting hit by a skull?

The whole “It’s a simulation,” argument doesn’t work simply because the human and covie weapons don’t make you disintegrate. Honestly I don’t think there will ever be a canon reason for why this happens. I honestly think it’s just there to add to the wow factor. “I just stabbed/ uppercut a dude with the objective AND he disintegrated, AWESOME!”

Also I know War Games IS a simulation. I’m just saying that the reason these weapons do this is just to do it.

it cant happen for every kill they made a tactical package or armor mod or whatever they are for picking grenades off of dead bodies what would be the point if they werent there
excuse me extra nades

I doubt they’re gonna make all bodies disintegrate. Ragdoll bodies is a pretty essential part of halo imo. A lot of funny theater moments wouldn’t exist if bodies disintegrated. There needs to be a corpse to tbag.

My guess is it was either an error for the flag and skull etc. Or maybe if you had been hurt by a promethean weapon but got killed by something else you still disintegrate. (Not likely)

The problem is most likely the lack of RAM that the Xbox 360 has. This is the reason why weapons and bodies disappear on Halo: Reach.

I think only the forerunner weapons will only cause this. I also heard that the objective was actually canon, but I can’t remember what forum post it was on though.

They didn’t disappear that fast. All bodies in all games have to disappear at some point.

This needs to happen. If bodies always disintegrate then that is the end of teabagging.
