I’m not talking about a singular playlist that has this one change, i’m talking across all playlists. De-Scoping was an important part of Halo, it meant that in order to win a mid-long range battle you had to be a good player. You either had to be better at no-scoping or able to keep them out of scope while you were in scope. Now it just comes down to whoever has the Rogue Perk, sees the enemy first or has the DMR.
This is why the DMR is OP too. If you were able to De-Scope enemies a good BR player could keep the DMR player out of scope and close in to where the DMR and BR are on more even ground. Since he can’t he either dies, unable to retaliate. Or has to take cover and is pinned down.
I’m willing to bet this wouldn’t really bother many of the people who have only played Halo 4, they would adapt and move on and it would please a lot of vets including myself, who are dismayed that a feature so vital to game balance has been removed.

I know, it may have seemed like an insignificant part of the game, but it made a huge difference to the skill-gap. It’s absence just makes the game more noob-friendly and essentially pushes good players down while bringing bad player up. Which is stupid no matter how you look at it.

No, it should be re-purposed and made to do something else, staying in scope is not, and shouldn’t be a part of Halo.

Because Call of Duty has it. That is the only reason because it sure doesn’t make gameplay any better.
I also agree. 90% of the time when I get shot while I am in the scope, I don’t even notice and then I promptly die.

Even that was a bad idea, that would be the only specialization anyone used.
Yeah. Descoping as opposed to flinchish thing like we have now is much better.

Nothing worse than getting recoil when getting shot in zoomed. Why oh why did 343 change this? Descoping was fine, 100 times better than this.

Yeah, this may not be OPs point, but I find that crazy recoil to be a million times worse than descoping. At least when you got descoped you had a chance to beat them down with no scope. The new way you’re just flailing all over the place.
I personally think flinching needs to be more noticeable. I get shot while scoped…I don’t feel like I’m moved at all.

Yes, getting into a no-scope battle rather than struggling to control the weird-feeling recoil felt much more natural and complimented the way the game played.

Didn’t notice it? How about the insane flinch when you get shot(while zoomed) by a sniper in the body?

Completely agree. There’s no other justification really needed.
I also agree. There is also a specialization that allows you to not flinch so much. Just imagine having a sniper with that. It would be pointless even trying to shoot the sniper at mid or long range.
What they should’ve did was keep the descoping and change the specialization to where you stay zoomed in, but flinch while getting shot.
