Allow for Divisional de-ranking!
I am stuck in divisions that are well above my current skill level and getting non-stop pummeled. Being at the bottom of my division doesn’t make it any better. I am so outclassed I can’t even get back to remotely being around the same skill level I was.
Most games are a complete blowout of me dragging my team down because I can’t keep up…
De-ranking was a horrible issue that plagued Halo 3. Honestly I’m really glad that we don’t have to deal with this or account boosters in Halo 5. The more games you play, the more the system will even out and find the appropriate place for you. Whenever the next season starts, I imagine your MMR and placement matches will be able to place you more accurately this time
Matchmaking is working fine without the need for an official deranking. I got placed in Platinum 2 for Slayer, But had a 3 or 4 games of losses and was then getting matched against Golds that were 4 to 6. Then I did better and got matched with Platinums again. So your official rank in all honesty is not that important unless you are a Championship level player. I also looked at your stats. You have 1.22 KD and win 53% of the time. Matchmaking is working. Your stats prove that.
Pssst… we can see your states, its not as bad as you think… you make it sound like you win 33% of your games.
Only thing I would advice is stay close to team mates offering support.

Your stats are above average and you play on diamond… i dont think you’re over ranked bruh.

This is exactly what so many people on this forum dont understand. They say the same thing over and over again, asking for the ability to rank down because supposedly they somehow ended up onyx even though theyre a silver player. Every person who says that has a roughly 50% win ratio and a kd around 1, which means the ranking system is doing its job. (None of them seem to even know the difference between MMR and CSR, and that if they truly do suck over and over again in their division, they will be matched against lower players. Basically, what they are asking for already exists.) If OP is so out of his depth, how is he able to make a positive contibuton to his team on average, and win more matches than he loses? Kind of contradictory.
What these people really mean is that they want to destroy terrible players and win every match, and they are annoyed at playing people their own skill level, where the person on the end of the other controller is just as good as you, and thus you need to really outplay them to kill them. Hopefully 343 continues to ignore them, because although the ranking system isnt perfect (no ranking system is) it does a pretty good job overall. Even in aus where the population is low, and you are sometimes forced into uneven matches, on the whole it works well. At least, whatever problems it might have, the OPs complaint is not one of them.
stick to FFA then haha, you got to onyx in ffa anyway OP. and as others have said you have over 50% win ratio…youre not doing that bad. did you have a few big blowouts so you thought you’d come blame the ranking system?
i kinda think the ranking system sucks of the record. it makes no sense to place someone after 10 games. in other halos you were “placing” every game basically, or at least thats how i see it in my mind. this new ranking system doesnt make sense to me really. i really don’t care about my ranks though, haven’t even felt theres enough time in a season to attempt to reach onyx so i haven’t even tried.
Having approx. 50% win percentage means the matchmaking is doing it’s job.
