DC'ing result in Loss even if your Team Wins?

In Halo Wars 2 the servers cause fairly common Lag Outs/Disconnecting from Multiplayer games. Which can be a nuisance on its own, except for the fact you get an automatic Game Loss. When I’m playing 3v3 and I Lag Out of a Game I instantly receive a Game Loss, even if my team ends up Winning the Game. In Halo Wars 1 if your team Won you got the Win even if you got disconnected.

You’re going to learn that there’s a lot of things done differently in halo wars 2 vs halo wars 1… a few things for the better… more than I care to say for the worse right now in its current state :confused:

I just think it’s kind of ridiculous for something like this to be implemented into the game. In a 3v3 with 6 players in the game, 2 get a Win and 4 get a Loss. It just makes no sense to me at all. I personally have gotten 4 losses from lagging out, even though my team finished the game with the win. Other players who’ve played a lot more than me have recieved lots more losses though.

I think we all have gotten losses for lagging out… and its not even our fault… its the servers, man.

Aye: I’ve not dced from a H5:G game since November 2015, but already had several DCs in HW2.

To be honest… what else are they going to do to discourage DCs which aren’t a technical problem?

Unless there’s a cast iron way to tell that a DC is server-side I think they HAVE to count all DCs as a loss - otherwise people might just start bailing as soon as things get tough.

Tbh… there’s so much else wrong with the service records right now (e.g. beating the AI in an objective based game counts as a loss if you win the game by score: it only counts as a win if you win the game by destroying the enemy bases.

Best option: once they get the servers stablilised start a whole new season for the service records and ignore everything that went before.

Why would they implement this as a punishment to those who quit matches. Over half the time if they quit the match intentionally, they will probably get a loss anyway. It can be very difficult to win games if you’re missing a teammate sometimes. I just mean in general this games servers are weak and cause a lot of DC’s. So giving everyone a game loss for every Lagout is really frustrating. The DC’s are annoying alone but getting an automatic Loss for it is even worse. If you’re with a solid team they might win the game without you, but you still get the Loss. I really hope they fix this soon, as well as repair their Servers.
