Why would they put a mancannon on one base that leads to the middle but not on the other base. Why not just make the map more symmetrical and have no mancannon on either base. I really don’t see the point of unbalancing things and giving one team an advantage over the other. Bad maps are one of my biggest complaints about this game. I really hope they have different people make the maps in Halo 5.
One base has a man cannon to move faster to the middle for power weapon spawns. The other base is somewhat closer to the Banshee, which is the power vehicle on Daybreak.

Just looks like bad map design to me. One team will definitely have more of an advantage over the other team.

That depends on how the Power weapon drops place out. The man cannon base has more of an advantage if the Power Ordinance is, say, an Incineration Cannon or Spartan Laser, which renders the Banshee virtually useless with its somewhat weak defenses. However, if it is a Sniper or CQC weapon, than the Banshee has the advantage, as it can take out anyone near the middle of the map. Nothing can be permanently determined based on how a map looks without actually playing on it or looking into the map deeply in forge (learning spawns and ordinances).

Next thing I expect to see in these forums is peeps stating that the concept art for some future item/map/Halo game looks unbalanced…then, it’ll be the pre discussions by 343i staff that are unbalanced because the community isn’t involved…the process of Yoinking never ends…it’s spreading…the Planet Earth is going to be Yoinked!
I don’t understand why they just don’t make more symmetrical maps. For example, Exile could have been more symmetrical (it still can be if they just went into Forge and changed things around) but instead they put a Scorpion tank nearer one base than the other and put a Gauss Hog at the other base to “balance it out” when they could have just had both teams spawn on opposite sides of the map with the same vehicles. Do they think symmetrical maps are boring or something?
