Do you think there is going to be a Day one DLC for Halo 4? Do you like Day One DLCs?
If there would be one, what do you think it would be in it?
It’s called Spartan ops!
> It’s called Spartan ops!
I mean a DLC like the one in Battlefield 3 or the one in Mass Effect 3 where there is an DLC in the limited version of the game but the persons who bought the “neutral” version of the game have to buy the DLC later to get the whole game?
And as far as I know the Spartan Ops is going to be free?

DLC doesn’t mean it’s payed for; pre-order bonuses, limited edition bonuses and even the spartan ops are still called DLC.
Anyway, i don’t think they would make you pay for pre-order/limited edition bonuses later on for the people that didn’t, It’s only usually armour and who would pay for that?
In Halo Reach there was day one “DLC”. Though people that didn’t bought the legendary or special requirement could not download it compare to Mass Effect 3.
I won’t be surprised if it happens, but I’m crossing my fingers that idea getting kicked to the curb.
If you mean day one DLC as in pre-orders and limited additions, then there will most likely be some like there was in Halo Reach, ODST and Wars.
I was fine with Day One DLC in ME3, I thought it was nice of Bioware to let everyone experience what would have been an exclusive mission, and gain a great experience if they couldn’t buy the CE. I bought the CE, so I had no problem with it though.
If there is D1DLC, I hope its something cool.
If you mean a Day One map pack or some sort of cosmetic type thing that you have to pay for, then no, I don’t think they’ll do that, and I for one hope they don’t.
you already answer your question OP
I hope not, but it wouldn’t exactly surprise me if they did. I imagine they’ll probably have an online pass too, though that doesn’t bother me as much.
I already have my mind set on getting legendary edition. At gamestop. So I wouldnt be surprised if I did.
But I would consider that kind of stuff more like a bonus than actual dlc. Because you only redeem it, you dont download it from xbox live.
But one thing I never want to see with Halo: Season pass

I think what was said that the first season of Spartan Ops missions will be free and after that you’ll have to buy them, so I wouldn’t expect anything different than a season pass if they do future seasons.
Microsoft usually open the servers one or two weeks and enable the Downloadable content before the game lauch, so yeah its very common in FPS to download exclusive in game content before anyone if you get the early copy of the game.
But no, “Day One” DLC in Halo 4 is still not announced (Camos, spartan skins, weapons shortcuts or something like that) and I hope 343i dont do that.

For spartan ops first season is free
D1DLC doesn’t bother me.
Only so much content can fit onto a disc and/or be worked on to meet the stupid deadlines some games face (Diablo… you rush for NO ONE
So if content is intended but incapable of meeting the “GOLD” deadline or fit onto a disc, then yes, gimmie as DLC that I indeed must pay for.
I would prefer multiple discs to hold all the content.
I would prefer to not pay more money.
I would prefer to have all the content at once.
I’d also prefer to have all the freeways to myself and not have to pay for them when I’m driving…
There isn’t and won’t be.
And technically - anyone can go purchase the LE and get the additions. Those will later be available to everyone - good choice.
I like how they are approaching it.
