Yeah it sounds cool, but I wonder if the additions will affect how the story missions will play since we’ll have to play them without these effects. Like will the addition of heavy fog make more immersive or worse because of the limited vision? Or perhaps we’ll only see this stuff in dlc expansions.
Maybe it’s more specific to certain areas, for sure 343 would account for dynamic weather, same as you can tackle for example an enemy base by air or how you choose, with fog added it might make you think on taking a different approach for example like foot to give you better visibility
The new engine isn’t the problem. The Slipspace engine has all the tools of the old engine and more. It already been confirmed that this engine is just a highly optimized/upgraded version of the original halo engine all the way back in CE. The problem was since they been using that engine for so long up until halo 5 they haven’t had the time to optimize and fix it. So now that they have overhauled it and fixed all of its issues it does everything the old engine can do and plus some. The only reason you see things being static is due to system constraints the old xboxs and thing like that. With future update I fully believe they will be able to enable these things on the better systems like PCs and the Series X
Also the hammer 100% has physics and so do grenades. I’ve confirmed this myself during the Flight I was able to glitch into the custom game menu and the default setting have the gravity effects off on the hammer and grenades although there was no option for player collision but this was a glitched menu in the beta.
Yeah. Supposedly day and night will affect what enemies we’ll encounter.
