Look at the achievement "Midnight Launch"
“In Mission 2, get significant air in the Warthog at midnight.”
Amirite???

that would be pretty cool
Particulairly because such a thing suggests Free Roam…

Definitely.

That
You could be right but it might be a specific place called midnight… the more I think about it it sounds silly but its possible.
It’d make sense because you really have nowhere to go when you get inside Requiem.
> You could be right but it might be a specific place called midnight… the more I think about it it sounds silly but its possible.
Yes. It could be a ship(wreck) called pillar of midnight or something like that, and the name of its location has simply been abbreviated to Midnight.
I guess that makes more sense.
>Expects a lot of warthog Jump videos.
Guys, your forgetting that the mission could take place across different times. You could land near sunset, then as the mission progresses, the time of day changes.

Thats kinda the point of day/night cycle…

I’m saying it’s scripted. Not real time.
It’s not going in real time. Daylight changes after cutscene or mission.

Look both parts. It seems that there will be day/night/dawn options for some/all multiplayer maps.

Absolutely spot on.
Seems they added a STATIC day/night change between multiplayer matches to improve replay-value. Might this be in Campaign though?
Good find, but I doubt there is a true day/night cycle

I think that would be really epic if they did it real time. So if you go and play at night, its night time in the game. I really doubt that would happen but I think it would be cool.
Also perhaps Midnight is a name of a Covenant ship or UNSC ship.
I would say the time of day is probably scripted, at least in the campaign. I am curious about multiplayer though, as it does appear there’s a possibility of day and night cycles.
I’m pretty sure that it’s not a place, as the word “midnight” isn’t capitalized. But I do think that it isn’t static. Every mission seems to have a lot of possibilities for exploring, and their wording in the achievement seems suspicious. Since there isn’t a moon on Requiem it will be kind of hard to tell when it’s midnight, plus, the other achievements about the campaign seem a little more difficult then simply getting some air on a scripted part of the mission.

How could there be a moon on Requiem? Think about that.
