"DAWN OF REVOLUTION" | A Halo Machinima Series | Season 2 Recruiting

CURRENT STATUS: Recruiting voice and body actors.

As you may all know, I started a new Halo 4 machinima called “Dawn of Revolution”. It is set up to last 3 seasons, with 6 episodes each. Season 1 was just recently completed and you can watch all 6 episodes here.

I am almost finished with the writing for Season 2 and filming will begin sometime in February, with the first episode coming out in March. I will update this thread as needed with all the information needed for filming dates, etc.

PLOT SYNOPSIS: It has been 6 months since the termination of the Rogue Army. A former Rebel, Jake Sully, has taken over as the Commander-in-Chief of the new Democratic galaxy.
Samuel has moved away to start a new life.
The twins have left Jake and the alliance in hopes to start over.
So far things have been peaceful…but that is about to change. A new enemy has surfaced, Raymond, a former member of the Rogue Army has a plan to reunite the Rogues and fulfill Chancellor Gregory’s destiny. And the first part of his plan is about to commence…

VOICE ACTORS: I need several voice actors for this upcoming season. Please post here if you would like to be a voice actor and for which character. The names in parentheses indicate the Gamertag of the voice actor, and thus, the role is already taken. So find an open role (blank parentheses) and let me know! I have also included a little bio next to most of the roles.

Narrator (Riot Rojas) -
Jake (Adam429) - Main character.
Jimmy (CheckMate Snake) - Right hand man to Jake. Lots of lines.
Warden ( ) - Warden of prison. Small amount of lines.
Nick (Vorpist) - Ally to Jake. Twin #1. Medium amount of lines.
Rick (Eric) - Ally to Jake. Twin #2. Medium amount of lines.
Samuel (Adam429) - Former enemy. Now aligned with Jake.
Hali (Justine23Ghosty) - Main enemy. Female. Lots of lines.
Raymond ( ) - Another enemy. Lots of lines.
Crane (InZaNE Soviet) - Enemy, right hand man to Raymond. Medium amount of lines.
Various extras ( ) - Guards, Rogues, and Allied soldiers. Can be voiced by people who want to take on dual roles.

BODY ACTORS: I am not going to assign specific people to be specific roles for body acting. Instead, I am just going to announce filming dates here and whoever can make it will be assigned a character then.

GRAPHIC ARTISTS: I need people with Photoshop (or other image-editing programs) to make some pictures for me. Post here if you’re interested and I can PM you more details.

CHARACTERS:

Rebels (the entire rebellion only consists of these people, the rest were killed before Jake joined them):

Jacob “Jake” Sully:
Bio: He gets saved by a Rebel, Captain Chris Criper, in Episode 1. He joins them after they promise that they could find his missing wife and son who he had not seen since near the end of the war. He is the main character.
ARMOR: All Air Assault (Forearms and Legs = Recruit)
ARMOR COLOR: Forest
VISOR: Blue

Captain Chris Criper:
BIO: Rebel who saves Jake. He is 2nd-in-command and is very loyal to the rebels. He served in the war and has no family. He is also the 2nd main character.
ARMOR: All Warrior (Forearms and Legs = Recruit)
ARMOR COLOR: Coral
VISOR: Blue

Commander Harold Danson:
BIO: He is the leader of the Rebels, controls things mostly behind the scenes. He is older. He will have a few scenes, including one of the main battles. (Will need body actor.)
ARMOR: All Aviator
ARMOR COLOR: Dark Blue (primary), Yellow (secondary)
VISOR: Blue

Nick:
BIO: Twin #1. Member of Rebels. Twin brother to Rick. Very outgoing, funny, and wild. Very eager to take down Rogues and is extremely nationalistic. Supporting character. Not much dialogue, only one lengthy scene in Episode 2, in which he first appears.

Rick:
BIO: Twin #2. Member of Rebels. Twin brother to Nick. Very outgoing, funny, and wild. Very eager to take down Rogues and is extremely nationalistic. Supporting character. Not much dialogue, only one lengthy scene in Episode 2, in which he first appears.

Chancellor Gregory:
BIO: Dictator of the galaxy. Controlling, sadistic, and power hungry.
ARMOR: All Soldier
ARMOR COLOR: White
VISOR: Red

Sgt Samuel:
BIO: Gregory’s right-hand-man. He secretly wants to overthrow Gregory and take his throne. He also has a back story that involves himself, Gregory, Chris, Jake, and Jake’s missing wife and son.
ARMOR: E.V.A
ARMOR COLOR: White (primary), Grey (secondary)
VISOR: Red

Hali:
BIO: Female assassin hired by Sgt. Samuel to locate the Rebels, she then disobeys his orders of no killing.
ARMOR: Venator
ARMOR COLOR: White (primary), Pink (secondary)
VISOR: Red

Extras:

THIS IS WHAT I NEED THE MOST. I will need several extras playing Rogues for battle scenes.

BACKSTORY/SUBPLOT (Will need narrator to read this eventually in a future episode. Story will be shown mostly though flashbacks):

The truth is that Chris, Danson, Gregory, and Samuel were all members of the same squad during the Great War. Once the war had ended Gregory formed a group of Rogues and overthrew the government. In the process, a large number of people who did not pledge their allegiance to him were executed. Gregory knew that Samuel was not optimistic about this idea, but given that he had served in the war with him he thought he could turn him, which he did. You see, Gregory trusted Samuel more than Chris or Danson.

Gregory tried many times to get Samuel to join him, but he refused. As a punishment, Gregory had Samuel imprisoned and told him that he was going to kill all but one of his known relatives. And he made Samuel choose which one to save. Samuel only had 3 relatives that he knew of, a sister, a nephew, and his brother-in-law who had been married into the family…JAKE SULLY. That’s right, Jake was married to Samuel’s sister.

Samuel refused to chose between the three so Gregory chose for him. Unaware of Jake’s whereabouts at the time, Gregory conveniently chose to have Samuel’s sister and nephew, or Jake’s wife and son, executed. Gregory took a small group of Rogues to kill the two people as Samuel hopelessly watched. Plagued by guilt, fear, and anger, Samuel had no choice but to join Gregory if he did not want anymore blood shed. They made a deal and Gregory said that he will leave Jake alone, even though he considers him a traitor, as long as Samuel remains loyal but he was to have no contact with his brother-in-law incase of someone else finding out.

The only thing that nobody knew was that Chris had been keeping tabs on his old squad and witnessed the entire thing. He wanted to help but could not, he would have been killed as he was hopelessly outnumbered. He is still plagued with guilt today.

Within the next five years Samuel reluctantly became Gregory’s right-hand-man in order to keep himself and his brother-in-law safe. But somehow during his time ordering the Rogues, Samuel has become more and more evil, and he plans on overthrowing Gregory and taking over as leader of the Rogues. He just has to wait for the right moment and pray that the Rogues will still remain loyal.

While most of this has been a secret to the others, the time has come and everything is about to be revealed…

If possible I would like to hire someone to create a short little intro for my series. If you are interested in doing this also, please tell me here so we can discuss it some more.

I don’t think you really need a script because there is no voice acting required from you guys, but if you want I can give you it…or a plot summary with all the details of what’s going on. I will inform you all when exactly we are filming in a few weeks. Thanks!

Hi, I need a short into for my Halo mahinima series. Only it should be less than 15 seconds.

I want it to say:

DAWN OF REVOLUTION

and then underneath in smaller writing I want it to say:

A Halo Machinima Series

I want it to be stylized with blue writing and I want it to have an electric feeling, so light lighting or electricity or something. I do not need any sound, I have that covered so do not worry about it. I just want it to look cool, opposed to the boring text that I usually have.

EXTRA (this part isn’t necessary but would be nice): Make 6 shorter clips, about 3 - 4 seconds, with the same stylization, only with a smaller/medium font with each saying saying the episode number. So “Episode 1”, “Episode 2”, etc.

I need as many as possible to sign up since not everyone will be able to meet at the same time. Also, the cast list isn’t final. I think I am just going to set up dates of filming, a few scenes each time, and have whoever shows up play the part…instead of having one person dedicated to one character for the whole time. People may have conflicting schedules.
