Dates changed from 2559 to 2561

Xbox released there tease on twitter for the July 23rd showcase. The tease is made in chief’s visor just like in the 2019 trailer. In the 2019 trailer one of the dates read modified by Halsey September 2561. The same date appears in this tease but if you pause at the right time it switches from 2561 to 2559. I think the 2561 date in discover hope was to throw us of because the 2559 dates lines up better with the Shadows of reach book and the date presented in the 2018 trailer of May 2060.

I don’t recall seing 2560. Discovery Hope had 2561 last year which they said is when Halo Infinite takes place. 2559 is when Halo Wars 2 and Shadows of Reach take place. I do hope Shadows of Reach bridges the gap between those years though.

2060 date is from the crashed pelican in the 2018 trailer.

Hard to compare without having the version. If the version is different, then it would make sense for the dates to change and it would indicate passage of time.
If its the same version - then they changed the dates.

From being on Twitter last night, the dates have changed. It changes as the bios loads/ scrolls so you can’t actually see if the version changes in-line with the date, but that would be a terrible way to display it anyway even if that’s what it was.

My personal take is it’s a hint that this game spans a much longer period than any other Halo game.
