I launched the MCC from my desktop tonight and was greeted with a “Syncing data… We should be done soon!” message that stays at 0%. I gave it a few minutes to load and then pressed cancel after it was stuck at 0% the whole time. After pressing cancel the main menu booted up fine and I was able to play online. However, many of my personal settings (emblems, service tag, etc) were reset to default, some settings were changed (push to talk, which I dont use), and though the voice chat icon was popping up when I spoke, my friend could not hear me and I could not hear him nor was his voice chat icon popping up. Likewise my friend says his voice chant icon is displaying but mine isnt. I tried 3 games of matchamking and no one seemed to be able to hear me and I couldnt find anyone who had a mic, or the chat was just broken.
I have two gamertags so I figured I’d log into my other onet, but the “Change Profile” button in MCC is gone. Normally I switch gamertags the same way this blog post describes: How to Change Microsoft Account in Halo Master Chief Collection - PwrDown however I now only have the options for “Player details” and “Find Player”. The “Change Profile” button is simply gone.
I have tried restarting my pc a couple times, uninstalling and reinstalling the xbox app to no avail. In fact everytime I restart the game some of my original settings are there and some aren’t. For example sometimes my emblem and armor customization gets reset to default, but my controller settings apply and sometimes my customized armor is there but my controller settings, FOV slider, etc are reset to default. I’d also like to add the “syncing data” box only popped up the first 3 times I launched the game. Now when I launch the game that box doesn’t even pop up. Also, tonight my game is only running at 60fps when it always has ran at a smooth 120. Last night I was playing and everything was fine, I turned my PC off immediately after playing, went to bed, and tonight I turned my PC on and immediately booted up MCC and now have all these problems. I’m going to post in the windows forums too.
So right now, I cant use the game chat and I have to reset all of my settings everytime I boot up the game, and I’m not even sure any of my new future data is going to carry over. And then my framerate which Im not even sure is related to the rest of the problems.
So far I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling the xbox app which didn’t help. I’m going to uninstall and reinstall MCC and see if that fixes the problems and will update. If anyone has any other suggestions I am all ears.
