Does anyone get a sense of satisfaction when you data purge another player online? By that I mean, when you get a kill with a select Forerunner weapon and the player disintegrates in an orange wave of scabs?
Personally when I do it, the appearance and the tell-tale sound just makes me sad that I can’t sit there and stare at it during a multiplayer game.
Anyone else enjoy this?
I hate it. Disintegration always seems like such an undignified way for a Spartan to die, even a Spartan IV.

I’m a big fan of it, it’s similar to the satisfaction of the ragdoll physics in Reach when I pull off a nice headshot with the sniper.

Only Forerunner ordnance weapons have the “Incineration Effect”.
I prefer to T-bag. Then I know that I have just messed with someones head and they will be after me a bit harder and they tend to push at the wrong time. Victorious mind games, those are satisfactory.

After June 3rd maps like Ragnorak would just be littered by the things
There is something so peaceful…when you one shot a guy with a scattershot. Shotgun weapons give you that euphoria.

If you know anything about Wing Commander, you’d know the Kilrathi viewed disintegration as the most insulting form of execution.
Which is why I pull out the old quote, “Disintegration is too good for you,” every time I make it happen.
Although, many also argue a Spartan t-bag is far more insulting. I’m not used to doing that because attempting so was a dead wish in Crysis 2.

If it’s made to combat the Flood, it would make sense for all weapons to incinerate corpses

Pulse grenades are when the player or body is in the final pulse.
