DATA Centers based on game disc region?

I live in the UAE and I’ve got the game from the USA marketplace, but the lag is unplayable.it’s as if the game is connecting me to US data centers.friends are playing fine(got EU ver). Any way to fix that?(tried to change acc region didn’t work).

Josh Holmes originally said that selectable data centers would be in h5 and then for some reason they were removed, why I don’t know but I feel like the game could have definitely benefitted from them

Any way to fix or force it? Should I contact Microsoft for a refund?

There’s no way to force it man, maybe try to hard rest your console (hold the power button for 15 seconds, unplug power supply for 30 seconds, plug power suppy back in power console back on) and power cycle your modem to see if that helps

I tried that but same problem, what’s next?
And thanks for the reply

I don’t think it checks the region of the disc/game download but the region of the IP address & connects to the closest datacenter.
Rainbow six siege does that so i m sure even halo5 does.

The selection process for the data centers is automatic and there is nothing you can do about it right now.

You could move to America. Unless your stationed; then thank you for your service. If you’re a local, you probably have a lot of oil money, so move to America.

yup, 343 lets you enjoy the game only inside the US borders. Otherwise they bend you slightly over and…
